The unit is only a 12 minute walk from the train station and basically all down the same walking street with shops and restaurants. The distance to the marina to catch the boats to the other towns is also about 12 minutes. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the sea and then another 9 minutes along the boardwalk to the marina so very handy and easy to find. There is a small piazza about 50 yards from the front door with lots of restaurants and the old town is about another block along the same street.

Only tricky part about getting into the unit is the small old fashion elevator that you can use to get your bags to the second floor. You have to carry the bags up 4 steps to access this elevator but that is only hitch.

Great property and very good host / management

Raffaelle was the perfect host. This property is an easy walk from the train station up the mall. Also a great central location for discovering the Amalfi coast and Salerno regions

Nothing we will be back and recommending to family and friends

Lovely accommodation on the main car-free zone of Salerno. Lovely to walk around visiting shops and restaurants, of which there are many within minutes of steps of the apartment. Amazing town to have as a base when visiting the Amalfi Coast, port with ferries to all villages on the coast as well as Capri and Naples only a 15-minute walk from the apartment. Lovely light breakfast with freshly baked goods every morning. Host was superb!

Unfortunately, two of the three rooms we booked were facing a picturesque square, one of the reasons we chose the accommodation, but we couldn't enjoy the view at all because of full scaffolding and netting on the outside of the building. Host did offer apologies (we understand these things are not in his control) but it would have been nice to know this beforehand and not be surprised when arriving and expecting a lovely view only to find a construction site that now you cannot open any windows or doors for the rooms.
