Crossing Salerno

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crossing Salerno. We were initially set to stay at an alternative location, but apparently the third party overbooked and we were notified only as we were on the train from Rome. We were able to find Claudio’s listing and book for an arrival in only 2 hours. He was super responsive and helpful as we made our way from the train to the unit (about a 12 min walk). It was a super convenient location and an easy walk with two checked suitcases. The room was exactly as shows on the listing and met all of our needs. Claudio utilized a translation app to communicate with us and it worked perfectly. He was the most generous and hospitable host, sharing local pastries (Sfogliatella) with us and making great recommendations for gelato (ricotta pistachio from Giallo Lemone). He had some coordinated discounts for local restaurants, and options to assist with ferries from the local marina. His accommodations felt like being invited to his home and we greatly appreciated everything he did for us. As we left in the morning, he accompanied us to coffee and a sweet treat on our departure. We weren’t initially planning to visit Salerno, but after our time there - we would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area - and highly recommend Claudio’s location! This is a new property, and as such, everything in the room is more or less new and in great condition. Furthermore, to build the business, the apartment owner goes above and beyond to provide the best experience possible. I have stayed over 50 nights in hotels and apartments in 2026 and I can say that no host ever provided me the level of service as Claudio. If there was anything needed in regards to my stay (even beyond the apartment itself) he would go above and beyond to help out. We are very appreciative of everything he did to help us, well beyond expectations. If anything is a problem, all you need to do is talk to him and he will do his best. We used Salerno as a base to see the Amalfi Coast, and I found it a great city to do that. Very safe, clean (the total opposite to Napoli) and authentic. That means you need to catch a ferry each day, but for us that was the highlight, as the beauty of the Amalfi Coast is looking at the towns from the sea and not being in the town itself. The apartment is about 2-3min walk from the main shopping strip, but in the area where the locals live, which we really liked. It is also a minute away from a Roman Aqua-duct. It is about a 10-15min walk to the ferries, and again we liked that because it allowed us to walk through the main shopping district or the beautiful sea walk way each morning and night. If I ever returned to the city it would be a no brainer for me to book these apartments again.

I had no problems with this, but just mentioning it for others to be aware if you are not phone-savvy. The owner does not speak English well, so all our conversations were done via WhatsApp where he translated everything into English. For us, this was not a problem at all, as we communicated via this form very easily for all our needs.

The host and the owner were very friendly and helpful. They took every complain and suggestion seriously and acted immediately. The location is perfect just near all important points.

The bed needs to be more comfortable

Una piacevole scoperta! Abbiamo trascorso qui tre magnifici giorni, in una bellissima suite. Siamo state subito accolte da Danila e Claudio con professionalità e simpatia. La struttura é centrale, nuovissima, molto pulita e arredata veramente con buon gusto. Tutto è studiato per rendere il soggiorno davvero confortevole. Siamo state consigliate e seguite durante tutta la nostra esplorazione della costiera amalfitana, con ottimi consigli su traghetti, ristoranti e altre informazioni preziose che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile.
