    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mahraja meaning (King or Royal) we felt pampered by all the staff. To name Anita was superb and Cecilia in the Kitchen was very good. Nothing was impossible to please us. We would definitely recommend anyone planning to come. Negative: Zanzibar Government takes so much from tourists but not reinvesting in Infrastructure. Beaches were not clean. Lot of dirt and not pleasant to walk, but nothing that resort can do as it is not in their hands. At times felt that in some places they were unstaffed. But all did work with smile. Well done to all the staff in Maharaja. Look forward to our next visit in your resort.

    I recently stayed at the Maharaja Hotel in Uroa and had a wonderful experience. Rooms: The accommodations were clean and spacious, with a lovely decor that reflects the local culture. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. Service: The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always willing to help with any needs or inquiries. Their hospitality made a big difference. Dining: The restaurant offered a diverse menu, with a focus on local dishes that were both flavorful and beautifully presented. Breakfast was a set menu that could be had at the restaurant or outside your room with beach views ( One of our personal favorite moment) Location: Situated near the beach, the hotel is in a great spot for relaxation and exploring nearby attractions. It’s a peaceful area. Overall: I highly recommend the Maharaja Hotel in Uroa for anyone looking for a blend of comfort, excellent service, and a taste of local culture. PS : The hotel staff are extremely friendly they go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Look out for a staff named ETO . He will mesmerize you with his charisma. Extremely helpful guy he took us to a nearby local village to explore to be honest it was the highlight of our Zanzibar trip .
