The Mush-Room

Excellent quality of design and accessibility of the facilities.

I loved the whole aesthetic - the look and feel of the place - and there were all sort of lovely touches. A lovely breakfast was left in the hallway, orange juice, proper coffee, and these chocolate stuffed dates in the mini-fridge which were delicious. I was loving it all .... except:

it was just so, so hot - and it wasn't the hottest part of the summer. I think there was some sort of underfloor heating, although the floor wasn't noticeably warm so I don't really know where the heat was coming from but I couldn't find a way of controlling it apart from opening the windows and then it was noisy. And there were shutters at the windows without curtains which looked lovely but let in the light at night. So it was too hot and too light for me to sleep properly. I hate to say something negative about this place as it was so lovely otherwise.

Communication from hosts was excellent. The room was comfortable and very clean with lots of thoughtful touches and provisions to make a very pleasant stay one night stay. The host also provided a delightful continental breakfast. Quiet location within a short walk (it took us about 20 mins walk) to the Swan Theatre. Would definitely book to stay again.

We were staying in the middle of a summer heat wave. The room was quite warm but the hosts had already provided a fan and cannot help the weather!

Really thoughtfully supplied room, toiletries, tea/coffee, snacks. Nice shower.

Bathroom is very compact, so sink is small. It was a warm day and the room was very hot and couldn't be cooled with the fan
