Would not recommend booking this place Major health & saftey issues Fire alarm was hanging off the ceiling & not programmed in Sockets were hanging off the wall on top of leaks in the house - another major health & saftey issue On top of that was dirty with stains all up the wall & horrible smell Was meant to stay here 4 nights & couldnt last 1 Reported concerns to the host and I am still yet to recieve a refund Terrible

Everything. The place needed a good deep clean, repainting, radiators need bleeding and light switch fixing to the wall The garden wasn’t secure as they were fence panels down which had just been left in the back garden. Back garden needed tidying up and stinging that horse removed if anyone was gonna be able to use it. Two windows in the property are completely blown when you couldn’t see out of them. No privacy with the windows needing even nets or frosting halfway. That’s uncomfortable. Parking was an absolute nightmare, generally arose and somewhat rundown area. The reviews that people have left on here are not a true reflection of the property , and those reviews with the reason that we booked

Not what was booked, very poor.

I was contacted by the landlord 3 days before our arrival stating that we could not stay in the booked property. He said he had an identical property in an adjacent street. Upon arrival the smell of stale tobacco hit us at the door. We had a look around and found that the beds were not great and pushed against walls, there were no headboards or bedside tables. There were only 3 towels out (4 people on the booking) and the smell of tobacco could not be ignored. The location was not close to a bus route as the original property we booked was which to us was the final straw. We booked alternative accommodation at the Holiday Inn and left after only 20 minutes. This was shocking, I feel that this should not be allowed via booking.com where a landlord can change the property from that booked to an alternative lesser property.

Location

The property was unclean, there was tinfoil over the smoke detector and no CO2 metre.both gardens were untidy and unkept. Cigarette butts lined the pathways and rats were seen at the back door. Rubbish left in the gardens. Plastic cups under the settee and food debris on the ironing board. Someone had left toiletries in the bathroom and a public hair in the sink. Upon leaving at 10am. Luggage was in the garden and someone was waiting on the street outside to go into the property. This is all unacceptable

Easy to find, parking on road outside house. All the facilities you need for a comfy stay but there are steep internal stairs to the bedrooms and toilet. Great location for spending the day at The Museum of English Rural Life and Reading Museum

Il manque quelques produits ( produit vaiselle, sac poubelle ... ) La wifi n'est pas top. Manque d'information pour le tri sélectif. Machine à laver payante mais pas informé via Booking . Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de table ni de chaises pour profiter de l'extérieur
