About this house rental
A holiday home perfectly located in a quiet street in the downtown. A three minute walk to Place Carnot with its cafes, bars and restaurants. A 20 minute walk to the castle, "La Cité".
Three very comfortable bedrooms spread over two floors. Each bedroom has a fan to use in hot weather. There is an additional children's room accessed through one of the double bedrooms. Bathroom on the first floor. All rooms in the house have heating for the winter.
A living room, a mini Irish bar and a roof terrace on the 2nd floor. The small kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook at home. With the choice of amazing restaurants nearby, you may want to dine out.
The house is located in the upper left part of the Bastide de Carcassonne, a minute walk from the Jardin Calvaire which is well worth a visit. The Bastide Saint Louis was rebuilt in 1620 by order of King Saint Louis. Originally, everything was surrounded by a huge wall, moats and bastions. The Jardin Calvaire is the only one that remains accessible to the public. The moat is now the boulevards around the bastide. At the bottom of the bastide is a 2 min walk from the Pont Vieux from where you have the most incredible view of La Cité. Cross the bridge and follow Rue Trivalle to the main gate of the Château - the Porte Narbonnaise. Exploring the incredible Château de Carcassonne is a wonderful experience. It gets very crowded in the summer, but you can avoid the crowds by visiting it in the morning or evening.
