A Wonderful Festive Stay

Truly wonderful experience staying here. The owner of the chalet, Peter, met us at the local train station (Wengwald) when we arrived and helped us with our bags and showed us to the property. He was great throughout our stay. The Chalet was impressively equipped, comfortable and the views are phenomenal. Would definitely like to come back one day!

Incredible location. Stunning views. Peaceful and perfect.

The photos and description do not do justice to this absolute gem of a property! We were after a quaint, quiet little get away spot with amazing views that was accessible without a car and a base from which to explore the region...so this was perfect for us. The property is a 10 minute walk from Wengwald train station. We travel light and are pretty physically able so this was no issue for us, but might be something to consider for those with mobility considerations. The directions for finding the property were clear enough. Inside the property was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay, including a washing machine and anything we needed to cook meals. Peter was an excellent host. He was friendly and helpful, and also gave us plenty of space. Do yourself a favour and take make use of the hot tub. The extra cost is well worth it.

Wonderful stay. Not for a mobility-impaired person.

Wonderful views. Very clean and nicely decorated apartment. Good kitchen facilities with some food supplies including coffee, tea, oil, rice and spices, though it doesn’t have a microwave (which is true for many Swiss holiday apartments). Has a washing machine. One can get a taxi from the Wengen station that takes you close to the apartment. Or it’s a 10 minute walk from the Wengwald train station on an uneven terrain with some small steep sections. A very nice host.

Difficult location for a mobility impaired person as the terrain to get inside the apartment after getting out of a taxi requires walking a short distance and is pretty uneven and steep. Also, be aware that like most Swiss holiday apartments, there is no microwave or dryer.

The location really is second to none. Be aware there is no car access. The train up makes it so special.

Nothing. Could have had more comms about hot tub. We were left to find stuff ourselves on third day. And it's chargeable so expected a bit more. Very minor gripe as everything was so great

You’ll feel like you’re in heaven with the views of Lauterbrugen valley and the Jungfrau mountain.

The views are spectacular. I can’t see how they.could be beaten. Wengen is lovely. Great location for public transport as no cars are allowed. The hosts are very welcoming. The chalet is traditional with plenty of space. The hot tub was great. There’s a bit of a walk from the train station and cars are not allowed in the village but this doesn’t matter at all. There no Wi-Fi which is another great reason to put your phone down and soak in the views.

We had an absolutely amazing vacation at this chalet!

The location is stunning! And it was such a comfortable and clean place to stay. We loved the large deck and the hiking in the area. Peter is a terrific host. We really enjoyed all the lovely landscaping around the house.

The directions for locating the chalet were a little unclear. I think we will send a suggestion for changes.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit Liebe zum Detail und herrlichem Ausblick. Die Wohnung ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Die Anreise erfolgt mit der Bahn, da Wengen autofrei ist. Der kurze Fussweg von der Haltestation Wengenwald zur Unterkunft ist gut machbar, sollte jedoch berücksichtigt werden. Der Gastgeber hat uns im Voraus gut informiert.
