Chalet Mönchsblick

The view takes your breath away! Amazing! We (2+2 kids) enjoyed hot tub every evening! This is top of the top! I want to come back! The photos do not fully translate the view, it looks more amazing in the reality! The owner Peter is super nice and helping, everything is super organized - the communication, he also left us luggage trolley at the station so it was very easy to bring our luggage from the station. The place is very convenient and has all you need: - Kitchen is well equipped has everything you need. We bought food in Wengen supermarket and prepared by ourself. - The appartment has washing machine and it was really convenient. We stayed 5 nights , hiked everyday in the amazing Jungfrau region. We left the car at the terminal in Lauterbrunner for 5 days for 69 chf.

A magical place. When I pictured Switzerland, I envisioned rolling green hills, wooden chalets tucked away by the trees, the sound of cowbells, grazing sheep, and snow-capped mountain peaks in the distance. Péter’s house offered even more than that: a view of towering cliff faces sheltering a tiny village whose windows shine like stars in the valley below once darkness falls; and a spacious terrace where you can enjoy the view of the Jungfrau and the surrounding tranquility. The host is friendly and helpful, living on the upper floors. He sent us the key safe code a few days before our arrival, so we didn't have to worry about getting in. He also made every effort to accommodate our requests. We are deeply grateful for everything. On top of that, the apartment is well-equipped, and the shower works great. Shopping options are available in Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, and Interlaken—fortunately, the grocery stores are located right next to the train stations in all three places. One thing to keep in mind is that Wengwald is a request stop. There is a ticket machine at the station with two buttons; you need to press the correct one if you want to board the incoming train. On board, there is also a button near the door to signal your stop. However, this option isn't available on every train: not all services stop at Wengwald, and in Lauterbrunnen, you really need to pay attention to which train you get on. On the plus side, trains run frequently, making it easy to get anywhere. So, despite Wengwald being a mountain village, I never felt cut off from the rest of the world. There are numerous hiking opportunities—if we had stayed longer, we could have organized many more activities. It was an incredible experience in an unforgettable place; I felt as if I had stepped right into the magic world of a fairy tale book.

Probably one of the nicest views in the world (no exaggeration). The location gave a true, authentic Swiss experience in the countryside.

The house is very spacious; there is plenty of room, and the bathroom in every part of it is large and comfortable. The location is very good because the house is not in any crowded tourist area . It is really quiet and peaceful. The views are amazing, and from the house you can see the Jungfrau Top of Europe, the entire valley, and everything possible.

I don’t like leaving this place. :)
