Spacious, reasonably priced, comfortable with great views of the mountains
The photos don't do the place justice and the views out the windows of the snow capped majestic mountains are splendid. Very clean and well maintained and thoughtfully provisioned. Only a few minutes walk to Coop supermarket daily to save lots of $$$ on eating out, which is very expensive in Switzerland. Plus, we were able to make healthy and favorite foods, with flavor, in the well equipped kitchen. There was even an electric fondue pot to melt your own (Coop has wonderful cheese and artisan bread). We had unseasonably cooler summer weather so did not get to the chance to relax on the apartment's dedicated terrace with sun chaise lounging chairs and umbrella, but it would be lovely to relax in, especially after the last train stops and the day trippers go away and Murren becomes your own peaceful haven where you can watch glow of the sunset on the mountains. Very easy to 10 minute walk (slight uphill with luggage, but doable) to the BLM train or Schilthorn Gondola or straight to many different hiking trails with fantastic views.
We stayed a week, but this unit didn't have a washer, so it was time consuming to hand wash our sweaty clothes from hiking daily. Currently there was not other option for self serve or drop off laundry in Murren. The dining room table is glass with hollow chrome metal legs that make an irritating loud clanging of your glass, fork, plate, etc. Now I know what the poor Alpine cows wearing those huge metal bells have to suffer through while trying to eat, haha. Providing a table cloth or place mats could help damper this irritating noise. Overall, however, we enjoyed our one week stay very much felt lucky to have booked this place early as it was quite reasonable compared to most accommodation Murren prices.

Excellent place to stay with everything you need including a great view
The location was just off the main street in Murren. There are no cars allowed (although work vehicles for doing repairs do drive up the street), so it is very quiet. It is halfway between the train station and a gondola lift. The apartment was spacious and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking in as Switzerland restaurant prices are expensive. There is a little terrace in the front where you can enjoy the sun. There is spectacular view of the mountains out the front windows. The owners met us at the apartment. No hassle whatsoever. There is a large living room areas with a sofa and an armchair. There is a table large enough to fit 5-6 people. There is also free wifi which is very helpful.
There were only a couple negatives and were very minor compared with the excellent facility. The bed is cramped in the bedroom so to get out on the side nearest the windows you have to side step all the way around and the curtains do not block out the light. These are very minor issues and we would definitely recommend a stay here. We would stay again gladly.

Loved it here and would certainly stay here again!
Hostess was exceptional! Convenient location to everything - store, lift, town, church, shops. Also peaceful and quiet! Beautiful views all around. Kitchen was well stocked! Family room and dining area was spacious and surrounded by windows! Apartment was quiet and very clean. Didn’t turn on the tv - so much to do but also had a cabinet of games and and bookshelf for rainy days. Great to have a washer and drying areas.
Sheets were a little durable. That’s about it. Everything was so nice!

I will not stay there again. I did not feel welcomed or helped by the hostess.
Location.
The hostess was rude and unhelpful. She entered the apartment without my permission. Absolutely unacceptable. Just opened the door walked in and closed all the windows I had opened without saying a word. Came in on departure day a full hour and a half before stated departure time and just started cleaning. Thankfully I had other people I knew in town to help me.

Cannot recommend this too much. Excellent host, great position, good value for this village.
These are two fantastic apartments in the heart of the village with a small meadow in front. Both apartments are accessed by the same covered staircase from the side of the chalet. Apt west has the three bedrooms on 2 floors, and use of the side balcony which has gorgeous views of all the mountains at the head of the valley. Gets sun from lunchtime. Apt ost (east) is on one floor and has use of part of the small terrace at the front of the chalet, reached by returning down the entrance stairs. Sun all morning and into the afternoon. The washing machine is in ‘west’ only, with an indoor drying rack. Washing line in garden for ‘ost’. Both apartments are clean, light, very well-equipped. Comfy firm beds (although memory foam is quite warm). Very near the Coop shop. About half way between BLM tram station and Schilthorn cable car. Margrith is a delightful host for whom nothing is too much trouble. Discrete but available in the next door chalet if required.
The photos do not do justice to how nice, clean and modern these apartments feel. There is real character to the house.
