River House Radolca

What a find! River House is in the perfect location —only 7 km from Bled but unlike Bled totally peaceful, on a quiet country road where all you hear is the rushing river at night and birdsong in the morning. From River House you can walk up to the beautiful historic town of Radovljica for dinner, or walk into Bled. Alenka is a superb hostess who served us a wonderful breakfast under the walnut tree in her garden, and also gave us information and maps—some of them hand drawn! We loved our stay here

This accommodation is set in idyllic surroundings in a convenient location to visit Lake Bled Lake Bohinj and Ljubljana. We were reliant on public transport and there is both a train and bus station nearby. Radovljica itself is a delightful old town. The accommodation is modern and comfortable. Alenka took trouble not only to welcome us but also to share her passion and enthusiasm for the area. The breakfasts are varied and always include local specialities. She advised regarding trips and restaurants. She could not have been more hospitable. Highly recommended

Alenka and Alex were incredible from the moment we arrived. They made us feel welcome and were the perfect hosts. The room was incredible, so clean, spacious and with amazing views. The garden was a slice of heaven too with the option of walking down to the river. Breakfast was prepared fresh each morning and was delicious with so many options, giving us a real taste of local cuisine. We travelled with our baby and they were welcoming and helpful in caring for him too, bringing him toys, a cot and a high chair. They would also give us advice on local attractions and places to visit. Overall everything was just perfect! We can’t wait to return!
