The location was fantastic - just under 10 minutes from San Gimignano, so great for restaurants in the evening, and also easy to drive to other towns such as Volterra and Certaldo as well as only an hour to Florence. The villa was a really good size for our family with lots of space to relax and plenty of bathrooms. The pool was lovely - very private and great for us all to relax. Owner was also really helpful when we very delayed on our arrival and quick to respond when we had an issue with a light bulb.
There are no curtains on any of the bedroom windows and the eye masks provided though helpful, don’t block out enough light. There’s a lot of personal items in the property which make it homely but also made us worried we might break something so difficult to fully relax. There’s also a lot of mosquitos around the pool area and we got badly bitten on the first couple of days.
