Alternatively, the bathing beaches in Elpersbüttel, Nordermeldorf and Büsum will be available free of charge. The 2 km long Trischendam is still accessible and mudflat walks will take place as usual in Friedrichkoog-Spitze. The spa gardens will also be remodelled and expanded to include additional attractions. These include an extended dyke crown path, spacious terraces with panoramic views and a dyke and park grandstand with seating steps to linger on. From mid-2024, the completed event and play area in the spa park will offer a varied alternative to the beach. This will make Friedrichskoog even more attractive, even if this is associated with some temporary inconveniences such as increased background noise, possible construction dust and possible path restrictions.***
