Pernera Seaside Villa - Sun, Sea, Poolside Bliss

Location

The fact booking dot com advertised the wrong villa number (advertised as 30 when in fact it was no.48 ...this caused 2 hours of extreme stress and additional taxi fares

The villa is located in a very quiet area, so if you are looking for peaceful nights, this is exactly the right place. The mattresses were also very comfortable, which made the stay even better. I stayed there for a week and the house was very clean and well prepared when I arrived. It is spacious and sunny. The Georgia is a great host, reacting quickly to any questions.

It is a shame, because this villa could easily be a 10/10 if a few things were improved. Check-in is at 16:00, which is already quite late, but I was not able to check in until 17:30 because the cleaning took so long. This was surprising, especially as check-out is at 11:00, even though the information inside the house says 12:00. There is no shower curtain or glass screen around the bathtub, so every shower completely floods the bathroom. The stove and oven in the kitchen was not working, and none of the air conditioning units in the downstairs living room worked either. In the back garden, there were concrete blocks and a rusty barbecue left behind, while at the front there were bags of rubbish and a broken drying rack. The garden also looked neglected, with several dried-out plants, especially compared to the neighbour’s garden, which looked like a little paradise. The house also feels quite empty and lacks a personal touch. There are no curtains, which creates an echo in the rooms. The kitchen has utensils, but there was no salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee or anything basic like that. There was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a house that can host six people, and there were no bin bags. All of these things could be fixed quite easily and would make the villa feel much more complete. At the moment, I would say it is a strong 7, but with some attention to detail it could definitely be a 10.

Location is fantastic. Very spacious villa.

Could have been cleaner. Broken chairs and table that are unusable should be removed.
