Pilgrim House by Phoenix Collection

Location and house bedrooms and bathrooms

Bins were overflowing. Two toilet seats were broken. One bedroom had broken item on the wall

The house was a great size which meant our group of 8 were all together. There were plenty of bathrooms The decor was modern There was a bit of outdoor space The location isn't too far from town Staff were great once we could get in touch with them

Standard of cleaning wasn't great - cobwebs in corners of walls/ceiling, toilet brushes weren't moved when cleaning floors, walls needed some tlc where plasterboard was damaged. No tea towels to dry up with Not all beds had 4 pillows There wasn't 1 towel per person supplied Although staff were great when we got in touch, it sometimes took a few days before a message was replied to.

Location was excellent. At a wedding just round the corner . Three bathrooms always handy when all getting ready. Free parking

No microwave, noisy at night , minimal kitchen equipment- no paper towels , tiny amount of washing up liquid , 3 wine glasses Even though free parking a man told us we only had one parking space ???

Good location. Secure parking. Potentially a nice property.

Mainly, the hosts not returning my call re my concerns about the condition of the property. Which included: toilet seats falling off - loose fitting carpet on the stairs (both of which are accidents waiting to happen!) No internet and therefore no Wifi. Two different routers just thrown on the floor alongside the stained sofa. All wires tangled up and one of them with melted outer casing(obviously placed on top of adjacent radiator at some time) - No microwave - No kitchen towel, despite there being a towel holder - No dish washer tablets, despite there being a dish washer - Kitchen drawers full of random bits and bobs including food from previous guests - Virtually impossible to turn the key in the front door for fear of snapping it off - General condition i.e. holes in and marks on walls all over the property - I could go on! All issues were photographed/videoed to ensure no issues with holding deposit (which was removed from card today, hence why I am now writing this review and also complaining directly to the hosts.
