The house is in a very quiet location, next to a park where you can relax. -Bars and restaurants at the new Marina Rubicon harbor are about 10–15 minutes away. -Playa Blanca has a coastal promenade that offers views of both the island itself and the neighboring island of Fuerteventura.

Car rental is right nearby. -The bus stop is very close by—from there, you can explore the island.
You don’t need a car. -From the harbor, there are numerous daily ferry connections operated by Fred. Olsen Express and Naviera Armas to Corralejo on the neighboring island of Fuerteventura. The crossing takes about half an hour:

Los Hervideros is a wonderful place for hiking; there are secured trails leading down through the rocks, and a magnificent spectacle awaits you with the crashing waves.

Playa Blanca (English: White Beach), formerly a fishing village, is a tourist hub in the south of the Canary Island of Lanzarote. In 2010, the town had a population of 10,759.

Three kilometers west of Playa Blanca, you pass the 194-meter-high red ash volcano Montaña Roja, up which a hiking trail leads, eventually reaching the old Faro de Pechiguera fishing lighthouse, built in 1936. This marks the southwesternmost point of Lanzarote. Right next to it, a new, taller lighthouse was built in 1986. The extinct volcano covers an area of about 1.5 square kilometers. More than half of the mountain’s slopes are built up with residential complexes.

A little northeast of the town are the Papagayo beaches, the most beautiful on the island:

On Lanzarote, you can also stop by hotels like the Vulkano, which is right nearby, or the Yaiza, located along the promenade, and enjoy the live entertainment—usually featuring performers, musicals, cabaret, and more. The Vulkano comes highly recommended; inside, you’ll find a stunning, massive waterfall with real plants. It has a lovely atmosphere.
