BUILDINGMisleading thumbnail: this unit is on the back of the house with a dreadful view of a tangle of stairs, face to face with neighbors. Well located building but largely lifeless, with vacant units and retail space on the ground floor.APARTMENTAttractive at first glance. However both the self-cleaning oven and ceramic top were inexplicably in need of deep cleaning. An odor of mold filled the laundry space. Thought to be a wet mop, in time it became clear that there was buildup of mold in the washing machine door gasket. A thorough cleaning with vinegar solution was required to resolve the offensive odor. The unconventional sofa-bed was unsuited to seating before puzzling through re-attachment of the seat cushions. In several ways, we left this unit better than we found it.We photographed wear items such as peeling cabinet veneers, detached window-shade cord anchors, broken shower-caddy system. The shower interior lacked hand holds and shelving for sundries. Needlessly cluttered by king size bed in a queen size bedroom and with chair and ottoman in the center of the living area (removed). IMO, too small for two adult, extended stay.Inhospitable: poor contact with owner through third-parties. Owner showed unit two weeks into 73 nights. Receiving mail was a problem. Local agents, gracious and accommodating.VRBOImpersonal, loaded with fees: advertised below 60 per night ended up at 100 per night. No monthly rate for extended stay. Fool me once, shame on me.
