Apartment was clean, modern and fully equipped. View meters away is a restaurant with reasonable prices and tasty food (owner Cristina very nice women).
Apartment is near busy street, so no parking spots. Finding a parking spot is a challenge. Quite noisy even if you sit in inner yard. Something wrong with WC (difficult to flush number 2.. some water saving or something). Plus on site i was charged additionally in cash (six euros per day) for some mysterious tax (info for this payment I only get one day before arriving).

The back garden is nice and private and has a lemon tree. You can dry your clothes there after the beach. The air conditioning works very well. The apartment is recently renovated. There is hot water all the time and good pressure which is amazing for Crete. There is a hair dryer, a spacious wardrobe for the clothes in the bedroom. The WC does not work well because of the evacuation. No washing machine but no problem for a short stay. There are mosquito nets for all the windows and also electric blinds. There is a spacious fridge and freezer and very nice plates and everything you need if you want to cook. The owner left us some toast bread, eggs, apples, water bottles, margarine and a local wine in the fridge. We had to pay an extra 8€ per night tax for the environment tax in cash at arrival. The neighbours own a small taverna where you can eat. The owners of the apartment recommended us some places to eat good food in the area.
The staff told us to wash the dishes and empty the bins before we leave the last day. We left everything in order but left some fresh food in the fridge and the owner wrote us “you left such a mess behind” which was untrue and told us she expected to find everything as the first day. Maybe you are expected to do the cleaning too. When we arrived the owners told us we could park in front of the house as long as we do not block the neighbours’ car. We parked in front of the house and we also talked to the neighbours to ask them if everything is fine and they agreed. When we left the last day the owners told us we were’t allowed to park in front of the house which was a complete lie. They said the apartment has a parking when we booked but there is NO parking. If you manage to park on the main road without being hit you are lucky. Bed was extremely soft so I slept on the floor in the living room. The sofa is very small and only a small child can sleep on it. The internet is extremely slow and we were unable to use it so we used the internet from our phones. If you are planning to work remotely forget about it. After we left and the owner wrote us some rude messages and told us not to ever return to their apartament she blocked our contact. We have never experienced such rude behaviour and we travel very often. There are construction works in the area so you wake up every day with a loud noise but this is not the owners’ fault.
Later edit: We haven’t used the hub in the last 2 days so it was impossible to leave it open. The hub was off and it was just for the safety mode that was not active.
