Sama Hotel Oraby

We were received on the first day by Sama at the reception. And she made sure, we felt welcome and served drinks immediately. The high level of hospitality and comfort existed during our whole stay. If we called, they responded immediately and helped us out with several services. Another young woman at the reception, Donia also made us feel at home. Everybody was so service minded and professional. Our breakfast was served in the room at our chosen time and was almost like a brunch.

Only the noise from the street and café outside was disturbing at times during late evening and night. Maybe bring earplugs, if you are sensitive to that.

In the heart of Downtown Cairo, this hotel is very good value-to-money ratio. It is clean, has very good A/C and cute little breakfast. In front of the hotel there are few cafes, which makes the stay even more comfortable. Local vibe around the hotel is classic busy Cairo. Hotel is at 6th floor of the building. Entrance is between cafes.

Area around the hotel is dirty filled with stray dogs. Hotel entrance is dirty because it's part of a building and no fully occupied by hotel. Room was cold with no carpets in winter. Breakfast was ok but not great.
