A welcoming covered front porch leads to an open foyer at the heart of this reverse floor plan home. Follow the warm hardwoods to one of three bedrooms on the first floor, a comfortable King suite that includes its own full bath with tub. A sizable King owners' suite in the opposite corner pampers with an ensuite that boasts a dual vanity and an extra-large shower. Between them is a bunkroom perfect for families, with two Twin-over-Full bunkbeds and access to a full bath with shower just across the hall. The back screened porch, where sitting areas and a ping pong table invite hours of enjoyment, is accessible from each of the bedrooms.
The airy, light-filled upper level provides sun-dappled wooded views in every direction, making you feel like you're in your own oversized treehouse. With vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan, the large living space is anchored by a decorative fireplace and provides lots of cozy seating and a generous selection of games and books. The roomy, window-sided corner dining area seats eight with space for more at the nearby breakfast bar. Savor a meal here or outside in the serene hexagonal-screened dining porch overlooking the golf course's fourth tee. There is a one pet policy at this home and pets cannot be more than 50 pounds. If bringing along a furry companion, the fee is $300.

Shorebird was the perfect house for our three generation family. Two master suites, a kids' bunk room and a bedroom separated from the others for our late-sleeping couple. Porches off every bedroom. The house is lovely, extremely clean and amazingly well equipped. We love the location- between the marina and the store. Easy cart ride to the beach. And those carts! One very fancy 6 person and a well maintained 4 person. The house also has adult bikes, umbrellas, and lots of beach chairs. Beds are comfortable and showers work great. Highly recommend!

The only issue I had was a phone call while we were on the ferry to BHI to let me know that our house had not been cleaned at that time, but would be cleaned shortly. We were able to put items in the refrigerator, but had to leave the property while it was being cleaned which took about 1 1/2 hours until about 5:10pm. However, that was just a slight hiccup and the rest of our time there was great! The kitchen had plenty of everything needed for 11 people, the rest of the rooms were comfortable and many of us really enjoyed the jigsaw puzzles!

This house was perfect! It was clean and had the right amount of space for three little families. The location was great, a short walk to the nature outlook and a short cart ride to the marina or the market or the beach.

The location is great. Central to the island and on the golf course. Views of surrounding foliage from the porch was so beautiful and relaxing each morning.All of the rooms were very nice and well appointed with everything you need. The kitchen, as well, was appropriately curated with essentials. The coffee maker was a little old, but worked fine.2 golf carts was very convenient for our group. The 6-seater was the nicest cart I've had in many years coming to Bald Head. Bike's were nice to have access to as well.The only real negative I have to say was wrt the grill on the deck. The burners were dilapidated (rusting etc) and gas didn't flow properly. You only have a small area near the front of the grate for grilling. We managed, but that needs attention.Overall, a great vacation in a very nice house!
