About this house rental
Newly renovated for summer of 2025! Our family loves to vacation at the beach and we think you will find that our house has everything your family needs to enjoy a relaxing time on BHI.
Our home is 2500 square feet all on one level and offers generous living, dining and kitchen areas in the center between the 2 sleeping areas. Great views from every room. This layout makes it a perfect vacation rental for 2 small or one large family. The house is 50 steps across the street from the beach access and a 7 minute walk to the Bald Head Island Club. It is a short ten minute ride to the Maritime Market and about the same distance to the island ferry landing.
• East side has 2 Queen bedrooms, Bedroom with a bunk single, twin bed and a twin mattress that can be placed on the floor and a bathroom to share.
• West side has King Bedroom with en suite full bath, Full bathroom off of hallway and bedroom with 2 twins.
• Center living area has a large seating area and wet bar as well as a smaller seating area and a casual dining/game table. Large dining area seats 10 comfortably. Also included is a Smart TV, DVD/CD player and a wide variety of music CD’s
• Galley kitchen (renovated spring of 2022) opens to the living area with a breakfast bar for 4. The kitchen is well equipped for all of your cooking needs.
• South west facing large front deck with screen porch as well as a new sun room which has a spectacular view of South Beach. Beautiful place to watch the sunset! A new deck on the East side of the house also provides great views and more outside space to enjoy the ocean breeze and relax.
• Cool and inviting north east facing rear deck is a great place for quiet afternoon reading.
• Outdoor shower with dressing area to refresh yourself and the kids after a day at the beach.
We have 3 four passenger golf carts. There is decking under the house which is a nice hangout area for kids with mini-golf, ping pong, pop-a-shot, corn hole and other games. There is an updated outdoor shower. There is all new paint inside and out, an ice maker and beverage fridge.

• Supply of paper products
• Pantry of herbs, spices, condiments, plastic wrap, aluminum foil,etc. We ask our guests to use what they need, leave what they found for the next guests.

Such a great house for a family vacation! Surprisingly the most fun was exploring on the bikes! The house had everything we needed for our stay. Great beach access and close to all the things we wanted to do. The host was very responsive. I would stay here again!

Gorgeous home with sunrise views from the back deck and incredible sunset views from the front! We were so appreciative for the beach toys, chairs for everyone and towels! Bikes for everyone too!! Ground level games kept the kids busy while adults enjoyed beverages on one of the many outdoor gathering spaces around the house. Beach was steps away and gave kids ability to run home and grab snacks when they needed to… 3 golf carts let us all do our own thing. Kathy was super responsive and flexible with us! Just don’t forget shampoo and conditioner!

We do a BHI Gang getaway each year. 8 of us. The pictures don’t do the house justice. The renovations are great. Access to the beach is fantastic. The decks are wonderful! Lots of chairs. Grill worked. All 3 golf carts worked well (last guests had not plugged in the older two so we had to wait on those). This house should get a 5 rating. The next few comments are hoping the hosts can encourage the team to take better care of the house. The floors were not clean and the bathroom rugs should be washed. The rugs under both dining tables are a huge fall risk. They are curled up and we finally taped them down to keep from tripping. The dishwasher door has been “bent down” and a full rack of dishes rolled right out. The main tv in the family room fell off the wall and hung by the cable until we ran to prop it up. Very scary, could not be disconnected from the tv mount and couldn’t be used. Unfortunately these things happen, but unless the owners are notified by the team that takes care of the house, the problems remain. We spoke with the owners and reported the tv and dishwasher.

We had a wonderful time in this home! Our kids had a blast and it was very kid-friendly. The beach access was perfect and we enjoyed our mornings at the beach. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We will for sure be coming back to this home. The hosts were wonderful.
