Piccadilly Gem With Private Terrace

Location and space.

Heat wave which was unprecedented and non-functioning AC meant that upstairs was 32degF all day. An extra fan would have helped. WiFi was also spotty making streaming and work calls difficult.

The apartment was well equipped, clean , quiet and was very central. We could drop our luggage when we arrived even though we were 4 hours early.

The drains gave off an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, kept the door closed so couldn’t smell it in the bedroom. The step into the apartment is quite dangerous. It is on the curve of the staircase , and then you have to step over and down into apartment, very tricky with luggage.

Space, location, cleanliness.

Location, location, location. If you love Soho like we do then the location of this duplex apartment is perfect. Even though you’re in the heart of bustling Soho, you cannot hear any street noise. Easily accessible to many restaurants and bars, also tube stations only a short walk away. Walking up the steep staircase opens the door to a long corridor with ample hanging and storage, along with a door opening to a small terrace. Another door opens to a very spacious living area with two large sofas, dining table and chairs along with a huge TV. WiFi worked amazingly, we logged into Netflix etc with ease. Downstairs housed an enormous bedroom with a dressing table and wardrobe. Loved the amount of storage space in the whole apartment. Then two doors opened as a tiny kitchen and a tiny bathroom. The whole apartment was very clean and we liked how the soft furnishings made it feel homely. A real gem in central London if you’re looking for a large apartment

Just one thing we didn’t like was sadly the size of the bathroom. It has a very small shower cubicle (no bath). But we adapted. This won’t put us off though as we are considering to re-book next year.
