About this cottage rental
A private cottage and fully fenced yard with outdoor relaxation space and barbecue. Decorated carefully with genuine vintage Montauk items—maps, signs, photos, and even 1950s Maidstone Club cabana doors---with a bit of rock n roll style and all the comforts of today. There’s an enormous TV to catch the Yankees game after a day at never-crowded Umbrella Beach, a fully equipped new kitchen, and an immaculate bathroom. Rinse off in the outdoor shower and then light the barbecue for dinner, eaten via candlelight. Later, enjoy the sound of crashing waves as you drift off to sleep.

I spent a long Easter weekend with my parents and my dog at the cottage, and it was perfect for us. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. Bot the living room and the yard provided comfortable seating. The yard was so well enclosed that even my small dog couldn’t escape. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels. Beach access is pretty much right across the street, and walking to downtown Montauk along the beach took only 20 minutes. We found plenty of easy hiking trails within 10-15 minute drives. And we even got to see the seals! Laura was easy and quick to communicate with. We’d definitely come back.

We were so pleased with this beach cottage. It was clean and well stocked with essentials, plus bigger in real life than it seemed in the pictures. Access to beach was easy, and even though it was bitterly cold we were able to make use of activities nearby. Overall we had an excellent time.

Lovely stay at the Crabby Cottage! Laura the host was very accommodating and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of the private patio and short walk to the beach. Would absolutely book again!
