About this house rental
The unique view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains makes a vacation at the Leeberghof unforgettable. But it’s not just the breathtaking panorama that makes the 150-year-old Leeberghof a special gem of Upper Bavaria’s hotel and restaurant industry. The property, owned since 1917 by Royal Commercial Councilor Georg Theodor Pschorr of the Munich brewing dynasty, has offered a successful blend of nostalgia and international glamour since its takeover by hotelier Johannes Rabl in 2017.
The rooms are named “Ludwig Thoma,” “Jennerwein,” or “Sissi’s Loge,” and their interiors are as diverse as their names. None of the 15 dream accommodations are alike, yet they all share one thing in common: a personal and individual touch.
The Wuidara Bar, on the other hand, brings international flair to the Leeberghof, perched high on the mountain. The award-winning bar serves as a meeting place and a stage not only for hotel guests but also for the “who’s who” of Tegernsee. “Cozy and enchanting inside, expansive and breathtaking outside”—that’s how many regulars sum it up.
The culinary offerings at the Leeberghof feature Bavarian classics and international fusion cuisine. The dedicated team led by Executive Chef Roland Sternkopf sources game from local hunters, fish fresh from the waters of Lake Tegernsee, and dairy products from organic farmers in the region. The herb garden is located right behind the hotel, and even the jams served at breakfast are homemade.
