Cosy cottage 5 min drive from Roundstone

The Cottage: This is a beautiful cosy cottage with everything you could need for an amazing holiday. It is situated just a six-minute drive from Roundstone village, which is a popular Connemara holiday destination. The cottage is located down a boreen (small road) with your only neighbours being the cows and sheep. You will have uninterrupted views of Connemara.

The nearest shops, pubs and popular seafood restaurants are in Roundstone. Roundstone is a very vibrant village and provides a diverse range of activities for visitors to Connemara including galleries, festivals, boat trips, a large playground for the little people and more. Check out the chowder in O’Dowds Seafood Bar and a coffee in the Coffee Cottage at the pier.

A big summer feature is a lively Roundstone Regatta weekend. The area is ideal for cycling and walking or those who feel energetic can climb Errisbeg mountain which overlooks Roundstone to take in the breathtaking views. Wonderful sandy beaches such as Gurteen, Dogs Bay and the Coral Strand are a short drive away as is the 18-hole Connemara Golf Club in Ballyconneely. The larger town of Clifden is just 25 mins away with large supermarkets, shops and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy.

Inside: This is a great welcoming cottage and it all starts when you enter through the half door at the front of the house. You enter into the living room of the house which has cosy couches, a large stove and plenty of books to sit back, relax and enjoy. Either side of the fire place, you’ll find a bedroom – one with a double room and one with 2 single beds. Also off the living room you will find a very spacious, bright kitchen with everything you could need to cook up a storm! There is also another small stove to add to the tranquil atmosphere.

Down a short hallway there is a utility room with back door out to patio with garden furniture.. There is also a large family bathroom with a shower in the bath and a lovely sauna to enjoy. There is also a large master bedroom with double doors out to a small patio and a lawn with a decking and chairs to enjoy the quietness of the area – bring out your morning coffee. There is also an en suite bathroom & walk in wardrobe. Upstairs you find another great space to sit and enjoy some Tv or perhaps some yoga or just chill with a book.

There is a shed to use for storage which also has extra fridge. There are three decking/patio areas around the house so you can follow the sun throughout the day.
