Downtown Bingo Apartment

The apartment was lovely with everything you could need. There are three large bedrooms and two shower rooms. The location was amazing , a few steps into the old town and less than five min walk to the harbour front. There were lots of cafes , bars, and restaurants in the vicinity.

After looking at google earth the apartment looked to be on a small side street . It is , however it is a very busy through route to the harbour and a bus route. It is cobbled and therefore more noisy than expected. It is under the flight path which we knew and as I live near to an international airport did not think it would be an issue . We did not appreciate how busy Faro airport is. Take ear plugs if you are noise sensitive.

The drains were a bit whiffy.

We loved the location and how spacious the apartment was. Plenty of room for our family of four to spread out. Loved the interior of the flat too. The electric shutters outside meant that the bedrooms are lovely and dark. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby - Chelsea, L'Osteria, Churrasqueira O Recife and 8Tapas to name a few. Walkable to all the main sites and close to the train station if you want to visit places like Tavira. Very easy communication with the host. We would recommend!

Not a major thing, but there was a bit of sewage smell in the bathrooms, despite caps over the plug holes in the showers. Also, as it is an apartment, you can sometimes hear the neighbours and because the airport is close by, you get plane noise. But this was not a huge issue for us - we live in London, so used to a bit of noise! And don't be put off by the graffiti by the lock box!
