Overall absolutely amazing, couple small issues.

Pretty much everything was great, kitchen was nice and living area was comfortable. I would absolutely come back

The shower needs to be looked at because it was either freezing cold or boiling hot, and it was quite cold even with the heating on, but it was February so that’s not entirely the fault of the property

A lovely stay in a smashing apartment in a really interesting, historical city; thanks!

The apartment was nicely presented, clean and equipped with more than everything that we needed for our brief stay in York. Providing some tea, coffee and milk was also a thoughtful touch. The owner was really helpful prior to our stay, helping to arrange on-street parking at a very reasonable rate, and was also very responsive when we raised an issue with the shower. The apartment was conveniently located for a walk into the city centre, taking less than 10 minutes to get within the city walls.

We had clear instructions on how to get to the apartment keys, but it would have helped to have some instructions on how to use the electronic Yale lock to the communal hallway. I have never used one before and couldn't work it out for a couple of minutes. There was no shortage of hot water, but the shower was faulty and the temperature couldn't be set to a comfortable level.

Good for a short stay

The bed linens were comfy. It was chilly in September and I liked the electric fireplace in the bedroom. It would have been nice if the instruction folder in the apartment contained details as to how to use the wall heaters, or how to use the washing machine,

They provide only a few pieces of silverware, cups, and dishes, so it was necessary to wash up after every single meal. The apartment was in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of the town center, however only convenience-type stores were close by. Likewise, there were only a few restaurants in the neighborhood. The hallway and kitchen heating units didn't produce much heat, making the bathroom uncomfortably cold.

The apartment was lovely, beautifully decorated with new bath and kitchen . The neighborhood location was private and quiet. Comfy bed and had everything that I needed.

The front steps up to the apartment end at a top step, not a stoop and no hand rails. So someone with balance problems or a handicap would find this difficult. I also had to reach up to the lock and the only way to keep my balance was to hold onto the door knocker. I told the folks to at least put up a grab bar to help while opening and closing the door. Also it was a bit of a walk to the old town of York.

Historic city done in style.

The apartment was lovely, fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine which was helpful. Thoughtful touches throughout. Comfortable room, big TV with apps and Netflix. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to York Minister and the old city. Landlady was very helpful sorting out parking, it's not £10 per hour, but £10 per day. We had a lovely time visiting York and after a long day city sight seeing it was really nice to go back to relax at the apartment.

Could have done with a few more coat hangers and a bigger colander. Not much to moan about really.

Noisy

Ten minute walk to town. Not a bad location

The noise from the above apartment. It sounded like they were moving furniture and slamming doors. I complained but UT did not improve much. We left a day earlier

Perfect location; lovely stay.

The attention to detail. The kitchen was remarkably well equipped and things like milk, tea, coffee, washing up liquid, tea towel etc were all there - and the knives were sharp (knives in rental properties are often blunt). Great location. Details about parking are very clear - we chose the free parking and never had a problem finding a space nearby. If we’d chosen the paid parking, there wouldn’t have been a problem with space either. Good to know.

A few minor problems in the bathroom and we found the bed very hot - probably something to do with memory foam? Not sure.

Fantastic apartment

A wonderful apartment in the heart of York with street parking for 10 pounds per day. It was very comfortable with a great bed and everything we needed for a short stay. The kitchenette was great. It was a very quiet neighbourhood too

Very pleased with the property and definitely recommend it to anyone as a place to stay.

Location was good and it was surprisingly more spacious than we expected.

The bathroom extract would not work. Which meant we had leave the window wide open and there was a couple of cold mornings. Otherwise not much to worry about.

It was clean on arrival and comfortable

The bed was uncomfortable and struggled to get a good night's sleep and the noise from upstairs is annoying. But for the money I cannot complain, great location and quiet area.

Amazing property, immaculately clean. Can’t wait to stay again

The studio is amazing. Looks exactly like the pictures. So clean, comfortable, spacious and very stylish. Excellent communication from the owners and had everything you would need for your stay. Attention to detail is first class. Location is perfect, ten minute walk to the Minster at most. Can definitely recommend and wil definitely be booking again.

Bank Holiday weekend for the races, great stay.

Lovely, clean and spacious. Book your parking with the owner, we paid £10.50 for 3 days for right outside the property. Communication with the owner was spot on. Can’t fault this stay at all.

Superb location. Excellent parking arrangements.

The location is superb. It's within walking distance of the historic city centre and any shop you would need, including a Sainsbury's. We liked the parking arrangement; it was easy to book, and we could park right in front of the property for a small fee. The flat was very clean and tidy and had all the bare necessities. It's fairly spartan but serves its purpose well. Stephen, the host, was very communicative and helpful with any issues we had.

I presume because it's in an old building, the flat was always a tad cold for us, even with the heating on. It's not a dislike, really, but more of a warning for winter travellers like us!

Apartment is very spacious! Particularly bedroom! confortable, clean, bathroom with all the needed amenities and kitchen full equipment… Is a good choice if you stay in York, walkable to everywhere (if you like to walk). We only needed Uber between train station and apartment. Check in/out easy and clear. Apartment is exactly like pictures
