L'host in Taormina

I originally booked a stay at L’host in Taormina for one specific reason: as a host myself, I was determined to see firsthand how he consistently earns straight 10/10 reviews. I came eager to take notes—and now I completely understand why. The interior design is stunning, the check-in guide is completely foolproof, and the attention to detail is truly next level. But what really set this stay apart was the host himself. He was genuinely eager to swap stories and learn from my own hosting experience, and we ended up spending half a day touring together, talking shop, and sharing our love for great hospitality. You rarely find this level of passion and care. An absolute must-stay if you’re heading to Sicily! ★★★★★

Convenience to the area.

The listing indicated there was a bathrobe and an electric blanket. There were neither of these and not even a blanket. For me, this did not make for comfortable sleeping. The listing should reflect more accurately. Although this seems like a small detail, it is very important to me.

The location was perfect! It was near to restaurants, shops, sights and taxi stand. The host, Ugo, was so friendly. He spent time showing us around Taormina. He answered all our questions. We now have a friend in Sicily.

Everything was perfect.

Everything about our stay was wonderful, but the absolute highlight was our incredible host, Ugo. He was genuinely the best host I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, Ugo welcomed us with such warmth, friendliness and generosity despite us being quite late unexpectedly. Ugo was always smiling, always happy to help, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He truly went above and beyond for us even driving us around to help us find parking and taking the time to show us through the apartment and the town explaining every little detail and recommendation. You can tell Ugo has thought of everything to make his guests feel comfortable and looked after. The apartment itself is perfectly located on a lovely, quiet street, which feels like a little escape from the busy town, while still being very close to all the hustle and bustle. The best recommendations are very close in walking distance to Ugo’s apartment. What really made our stay special, though, was Ugo. His hospitality was exceptional and made us feel completely at home. He is one of those people you feel lucky to meet while travelling, so kind, welcoming, happy and generous with his time. I cannot recommend staying with Ugo highly enough. The apartment is fantastic, the location is perfect, but Ugo is what makes this place truly special. If you stay here, you can be certain he will look after you in every possible way. Thank you, Ugo, for making our stay so memorable. We would come back in a heartbeat!
