Sommet Remois Cathedrale

The city is charming, the people are kind and nice, it has amazed us how quiet the city is. Many attractions near the location and we were lucky enough to be there on the 1st Satturday of July so we were to visit the antiquites bazaar which is held every 1st Suttarday in the city ceneter, Halles Des Bullindrings. The host will send you a link created with canva on which you will get some very basic info. The thing which confused us as we have never seen it again is that we arrived quite late and it was not clear to understand how we will access through the main ground floor door. On the link you will receive, there is a page which shows a mobile phone which has dialed property and the instruction is "push here". It took me a while to understand that the "here" was my actual screen. I conatcted the host and he assist me. Other than this the access was easy although there is one key only for the main house. However each one of our group who has the canva link as able to access the ground floor door. The 4th floor stairs (72 steps to be precise) are wooden, narrow and circular which makes the climbing with luggage a bit "cardio" but the location is nice, the appartment is comfortable and we were aware of this. Parking is easy and the city of Rheims has everywhere paying station in case you do not want - or do not succes to download the app -. The maximum time you can park your car is 5 hours and parking is with payment from 09.00 till 19.00 hrs. We visited Veuve Cliqcuot and we did the caves tour, a must if you get until Rheims. In case you arrive late and you have no schedule to exit the house on your arrival night make sure you have some supplies especially water. There is a capsule coffee amachine nd a few capsules but thats about it. I have proposed the owner to have a couple of bottles of water in the fridge and a map area so any guest will make his arrival more comfortable but I am not aware if he will follow my idea.

For sure the towels are not nice, worn and rough but is OK we survived. It would be much more pleasant to have a better quality there. I have been travelling via booking and airbnb many years and I have met many owners. There are owners who really care for the guest and owners who really care for the property. Our owner was defenetly a member of the 2nd categoria, however I have no complains. It is that "you are welcome" feeling that is missing. A day before our arrival I have received an e mail informing that our 300 eu safety deposit was still not credited - although the full payment was - and in case the 300 eu payment is not credited in the bank account of the owner we would not be able to access the property. That was a stressfull detail but we have received the 300 eu security payment the next day after our departure. Climbing 4 stairs and not to find 1 bottle of water in the fridge was also a minus but minor details. However I am not aware if the tab water is drinkable. The parking - where to park and how to pay - was again super easy but only on the second day and after some reserach I did on the streets of the city. A half page instruction would be more than enough for any driver. Although the property is cosy the feeling is distant and there was no contact with anyone these days, only closed doors in every floor. We did see a resident but she would not return our bonjour. I have been in far worst places and in far better ones, I would rate this one an average place to go in terms of facilities but an excellent place to go in terms of location.

Très confortable, propre, bien situé et très bien organisé pour la réception. Dommage que l'on pas eu plus de temps pour en profiter plus.

Location was excellent, within a few minutes of the cathedral. It felt spacious and well-appointed. We cooked our own meal and made our lunches, did our laundry and all appliances worked well.

The stairs - four floors with suitcases, we forgot to check about a lift! But this was a minor inconvenience.
