Our beautiful “Black Pearl,” built in 1921, is situated on the edge of the stunning vineyards of the Durbach Valley. We rent out our apartment on the first floor of our house, which we lovingly renovated in 2017. In January 2024, we repainted and refurbished everything, so it’s almost like new again! We live on the first floor of the house. Of course, your beds will be made upon check-in, and plenty of towels are provided as well! We’ve also stocked the apartment with essentials like dish soap, dish sponges, cleaning rags, dish towels, toilet paper, etc., as well as pods for the Senseo coffee machine!
Right from our house, you can easily set out on a hike—whether with or without your dog. Day trips to Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, and the Black Forest, or outdoor activities like hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The public outdoor pool is only about 1.4 km away and can be used free of charge with the guest card/Konus card. There’s also a mini-golf course here. Access to public transportation is excellent, and you can use it for free with the Konus card. The bus stop is only 20 m away. A private parking space allows you to explore the area by car as well.
The apartment has a separate entrance accessible directly from the private parking space. You won’t have to carry your luggage more than 5 m. There is a private doorbell and an intercom system. However, given the short distance, these aren’t really necessary. There are plenty of additional parking spaces available for visitors.
You’ll have the one-room apartment on the first floor of our house all to yourself.
We’re happy to assist guests with questions about the region, potential sightseeing opportunities, and wine testings at the neighboring wineries. Everything is within walking distance, from small restaurants to a 2-star Michelin-guide hotel restaurant. Additionally, bicycles can be rented in the village.
Dogs are also very welcome here!!! 🐕🐕🦺🦮 As an added service, we always have species-appropriate, chemical-free food for your pet on hand, so you don’t have to lug food around and take up storage space.
If you’re interested, we offer a free presentation on species-appropriate nutrition for dogs and cats. We’d be happy to do this after your vacation as well—conveniently via ZoomCall from the comfort of your own home, wherever that may be!
