About this house rental
Spend the summer in an historic Ross estate updated with all the conveniences for modern day living. This 5 bedroom, 4 full/3 half bathroom house on 2 acres is fully fenced and offers the ultimate in privacy while being a short walk to downtown Ross and San Anselmo and access to the trailheads to Mt Tam and Phoenix lake. There is a heated pool, outdoor spa and changing room, and an outdoor kitchen with associated dining/deck area.
First floor is graced with grand scale entertainment areas: a large living room with a woodburning fireplace, two sitting areas and exposed beam ceiling. The adjacent formal dining room opens out onto a gracious deck area ideal for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or evening cocktail. The designer chef’s kitchen has a walk-in pantry, built-in banquette seating and high-end Sub-zero/Wolf appliances. Also on the 1st floor is a large study opening directly onto a brick portico and a fabulous family/tv room which overlooks the pool and outdoor entertaining areas. There is also a private home office ideal for those who work from home. Across a transitional walkway are private guest quarters designed for in-law guests or an au-pair with a secondary family room, bedroom, private full bath, and a kitchenette.
On the second floor, there is a Primary suite with full bath and workout gym with a Peloton, elliptical and weights. The second Primary bedroom is en-suite and two other bedrooms share a Jack and Jill full bathroom. There is also an upstairs family room where kids can watch TV or play games which connects to an old fashion enclosed sleeping porch.
Pets are negotiable. We require renters’ insurance, weekly housekeeping (from our long-term housekeeper), a security deposit and rent for the term of the lease upfront. Utilities, lawn and pool care, and housekeeping included in the rental price.
