All was good except the bed was not that great. The mattress and pillows could have been better

We loved everything about our stay - the views and location in a family run vineyard were wonderful, the host family were very welcoming, and the accommodation was large and clean . We were especially grateful to the family of the vineward for organising a welcome wine tasting and recommending a brilliant restaurant.

Wow, what a magical experience to stay on this beautiful 300 year old vineyard with such warm and wonderful hosts!! The house has stunning stone and woodwork details with a magnificent 297 year old carved wood ceiling in the sitting room. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped for self catering, and wonderfully comfy bedrooms all with ensuits and fluffy white towels, great garden space for outdoor dining and relaxing listening to the birds and smelling the orange blossom and jasmine. It really felt like home and Sr. Tavares and his very kind wife Anita treated us like family. We were treated to a generous and delightful wine and olive oil tasting from the vineyard produce and learned so much about the processes. The photos do not do the house or the location justice and it is impossible to capture in words how appreciative myself and my family were of the special kind attention we recieved throughout our stay from the whole family as well as from Bárbara who facilitated the booking. We were very sad to leave, but we will be returning again soon to visit this wonderful place and meet again such a generous and genuine family - and to stock up on great wine and probably the best olive oil I have ever tasted!
