It was self catering. It was comfortable and convenient for our needs and for getting to other places. Safe for the dogs, as the yard was secure.
We were greeted my the owner of the adjacent winery who gave us a very informative, free tasting of some of his home produced wines and ports, which were excellent.
No significant dislikes, but, the kitchen could have provided better crockery. there seems to be lots of plates but only one bowl; some of it was chipped or cracked. Another chopping board would have been useful.
For an apartment that was descibed as sleeping 4, there was only one 2-seater sofa in the lounge.
the beds and bathrooms were good, but the whole place could do with a bit of freshening up.

The location is fabulous; we couldn't get enough of the view of the mountains and vineyards. The house was great; must have been their family home. Very well appointed, spacious and had everything you could want... even a lemon tree in the front. The owner was very friendly (although couldn't speak very good English on the phone), and gave us a tour and my friend some wine from his vineyard (I don't drink, but she loved the wine!). We wished we could have stayed longer, just such a good feeling all around. Would love to come back another time and stay a month!
The bed was hard... suggest a foam topper on top of the mattress and under the bottom sheet. The address would not come up on the car's GPS, so we called but the owner couldn't understand me. So I texted so he could translate. But when we put the address on google maps on our phone, it worked, so that is a good tip to remember.
