Calme et Cozy aux Portes de Paris

While the daily rate for this place in Montreuil is a little high for the neighborhood (I understand that they're trying to be a competitive offer with staying within the Paris city center), my partner and I fully enjoyed our stay in this charming little apartment, and we wouldn't hesitate to book it again. We enjoyed that: - it was close to a train station that took us to most sights in Paris within 30-40 minutes - there was a kitchen with everything we need including an induction stove that heated things quickly! (note here that the kitchen is incredibly tiny and it was hard for both us of to be in it at the same time) - there was a living room with small tables and chairs that we could use for the few days that we worked remotely - the apartment is just on the first floor in an apartment facing a courtyard that stayed cooler than the weather actually was (there was more shade, and that was incredibly useful during the heatwave days) - the wifi was excellent and never glitched - the bedroom had enough space for two people! In Paris, for the same price, you would only get the smallest and most cramped hotel rooms - the apartment was stocked with the basics we needed for our week: dishwashing materials, trash bags, soap and shampoo, etc. - the host was incredibly helpful and responsive on WhatsApp! She made the stay so friendly, as well as did the neighbors downstairs!

Turns out there was a heatwave that was rolling through the region during our week, and the fan that was provided to us wasn't strong enough. However, the host was very responsive and was able to get us a bigger and more forceful fan, and we really appreciated that! I would say that in general, people (maybe just Americans?) should keep an eye out on the weather during the summer, and check if you want to stay in an apartment without air conditioning. We were diligent about using the fan, closing curtains and windows during the day, and were lucky to have a cooler courtyard that chilled the air during the night

Le lit est très bon, tout est propre, il y a tout ce qu’il faut d’utile, avec en plus quelques attentions très appréciables, comme de la bonne lecture ou du bon café disponibles. En prime, les indications de check-in sont précises et complètes, et le voisinage est très tranquille et sympathique. Le quartier est aussi très agréable.

Plus petit que je le croyais, particulièrement la cuisine et la salle de bains.

Super comfy! Clean but not too clean, old, squeaky.. You immediately feel like home! Also, the metro station is basically directly in front of the door

The general area is a bit dodgy, especially at night
