Would definitely return - safe, secure and social

Location was great, in a quiet street in the Roma district (south). As a solo femalee, I felt safe there all the time, even walking around the area in the evenings. There were lots of cafes, restaurants, street food options and markets nearby. It's not far from Condessa, which is another lovely area of the city to explore. Definitely check out the Medellin Mercado around the corner, as well as El Compita also just around the corner. It's close to public transport which made it easy to go much further afield, and the staff organised welcome drinks which proved a great chance to meet some fellow wanderers. The rooftop is a great place to hang out and my room, though a bit small, was tidy, clean and pretty quiet. Of course Mexico City is a culinary as well as a cultural heaven. Easy walking distance from a lot of attractions. I'd stay there again, for sure. Good wifi.

Nice terrace and Irene, the lady who works on the weekend was lovely. There is a bit of a social vibe.

It felt like kind of a scam, the private rooms costs more then a hotel room with an ensuite in the same area and looks nothing like the pics. Room was falling apart, dirty and unbearably cold with no hot water. The heater in the room was broken, I had to have 5 blankets to manage the night there. Staff and the manager very rude, no customer service whatsoever, no apologies, basically told me I could leave and they would refund me rather. I left early and was promised a refund that never came despite trying to follow up on it and being ignored. Wifi didn’t work in most of the places so I had to use my data.

Private room is awful - do not stay

Location is fine.

Do not stay here if you want a comfortable private room, particularly in winter. The private room is essentially a shed, therefore it was extremely cold and damp, to the point the bedsheets felt wet. In addition, the bedsheets provided were extremely thin considering the evening temperatures - I dont feel like I should need to request extra bedsheets in winter considering the outside temperatures are well known and from other reviews people have had the same issues as me. I left 1.5 days into a 4 day stay because of this issue. There is also mold and the bathroom was unclean, with warping floorboards due to leaks from the shower. I should have heeded other reviews. In addition to this, I requested a refund due to the state of the room and was denied.

Got wrong dorm and unclean bed upon arrival, other than that, a ok hostel

The place has nice beds with curtains, good mattresses, good location to walk to some tourist attractions. There was free filtered water. The common-area was ok. Easy to prolong the stay by one night and got it for a good price.

We were supposed to stay in a 4 room, got a 6 room and one of the beds was not cleaned when we checked in at 17:00. The cleaning lady had her shoes on in the bed while making it. Bathrooms kinda dirty and few. The personell was almost never there, and therefore not as easy to ask for tips, help or new toilet paper when needed.

Good location but wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent location

Upon first arriving, communication was poor as I was given the wrong bed, then given another that had no light, electricity power or pillow. After prompting via what’s app, I was given another room. The property doesn’t have a designated ‘check in’ so you are given a code for a key (abit like an air BnB) but the problem is there’s only 1 key and key box for every single guest. So if someone takes the key you are stuck outside. The property doesn’t have an actual kitchen compared to other hostels in the area. As there is no security or staff on site, it can get very nosey late at night. I even had people in my room sharing a single bed so it’s safe to say over the 5 nights I didn’t get the best sleep. It’s not the cleanest of places, especially the bathroom. Best thing about here is the location.

Beautiful stay at Casa Columpio

Casa Columpio is such a nice place for solo travellers. The space configuration makes it so easy to meet & talk with other travellers. Area is super nice, safe, and full of places to eat incredible tacos and cafes/coworkings to work for a few hours. Lily was very helpful, communicative, flexible and welcoming. She handled last-minute request gracefully. I’d recommend anyone to give it a shot!

Bedroom door creaking and shower head replacement are easy fixes to make it perfect.

The perfect hostel for chilled (not party!) solo travellers, really nice vibe, great location

A gem of a hostel - the best hostel vibe I’ve found whilst solo travelling around Latin America for 3 months :) Comfy bed (in private room) Access to snacks and tea 24/7 Really easy to meet people - lots of people seemed to just want to hang out and chat, sometimes go and do stuff together - not a party hostel which I really liked. Sometimes as a 32yo solo traveller I’ve found the crowd in hostels a bit young but I didn’t feel too told here :) Great location in Roma WhatsApp group Irene was very sweet and helpful

These are minor things and I would still definitely stay in this hostel again and recommend it to others!! Not much shade on the upstairs terrace so we tended to hang out downstairs in the daytime Private room gets very hot in the daytime, and there isn’t a fan/ac (but absolutely fine at night when sleeping) My bathroom had an odd smell that didn’t really go away A kitchen / full breakfast would be great

Amazing vibes at Casa columpio. The staff was amazing, especially Irene. She made everyone feel welcome and the community was fantastic. I met someone who did my hair, and someone else who gave me amazing shoes. It’s also a really good location. Tons of good food nearby as well as bars and parks. Plus the hostel has tea and coffee available all day, and a guitar in the living room. Highly recommended this place.

It was a calm space to hang out when you needed a time out from the city. They offered activities to do as a group that we really enjoyed.

Sabe as fotos que você vê no site? Elas não existem. Não é um Hostel animado, divertido nem nada do gênero. Você não vê os funcionários, não existem um esforço para interação entre hóspedes e tampouco o acesso pelo WhatsApp é gentil. O banheiro é MUITO sujo (muito mesmo). Os quartos e instalações comuns tb são. O sistema de segurança para entrada é precário e algo bizarro. Fico há mais de uma década em Hostel e esse está no meu top 3 dos piores.

No estaba limpio del todo, la cortina de la regadera estaba sucia, las frazadas que ponen de igual forma estaban sucias (encontré residuos corporales adheridos, por no decir otra cosa, y no olían recién limpias, como debería de ser) y no había jabón de manos

La ubicación es lo único rescatable

No me dieron lo que reservé, pedí una habitación para mujeres para 4 personas (éramos 3) y me dieron una donde había 6 personas y 2 hombres, un baño para todos, sucio, lleno de agua y con los papeles desbordando del bote, nos hicieron esperar porque el check in sería a las 5 y hasta las 6 me avisaron que las habitaciones estaban limpias

El servicio del hostal es genial. Diana es súper atenta y amable en todo momento, siempre dispuesta a ayudar con cualquier cosa que necesites. Desde el primer día te hacen sentir cómodo y bienvenido, y se nota que realmente se preocupan por los huéspedes. Por otro lado, la ubicación excelente y las habitaciones limpias.

Como aspecto a mejorar, el agua de las duchas a veces salía demasiado caliente o solo templada, lo que podía resultar un poco incómodo. Aun así, tenía solución si tenías un poco de paciencia y ajustabas el tiempo, por lo que no llegó a ser un gran problema. Igualmente, Relación calidad precio es un 10

En general he estat a gust, la gent és molt amable i les treballadores també!

L’allotjament està molt ben ubicat i té força potencial perquè l’espai és bonic i està ben aprofitat. Les habitacions compartides estan ben equipades amb una estanteria, endolls, lockers per guardar les pertinençes i una cortina per fer la zona del llit més privada, el llit és ample. Es fàcil accedir i les dues recepcionistes sempre estan disposades ajudar-te.

Tot i tenir potencial, crec que podría millorar. Cal tenir més cura de la roba de llit i les tovalloles, les que em van tocar estaven una mica brutes. També és una pena que per les habitacions compartides nomès hi hagi dos banys, sovint es formaven cues per accedir-hi. Una altra aspecte és el tema que a la descripció de l’hostal posa que s’ofereix un bon esmorzar i realment nomès hi ha una nevera amb mermelada, iogurt i quatre coses més i pa bimbo, es podría especificar que és el que realment ofereix per ni dur-te uba sorpresa després. Per últim afegir que vaig passar dues nits a una se les habitacions individuals i feia força fred hi havia com un calentador, pero treia aire fred.

スタッフの方が親切で良かったです。いくつか壁画があって良い感じでした。テラスがあって、小さい洗濯物なら干せそうでした。

入口に看板も表札も無いので、場所が解りにくかった。どうして表示しないのでしょうか？、、近くに来てから迷って、何処か判るまでに何分もかかり困りました。全体的に写真より古びていて、印象が違いました。とてもコンパクトです。
