Riad dada Messouda spa

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Dada Messouda. It's a beautiful, peaceful oasis and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. My mum and I stayed here for the final part of our trip, and it was the ideal place to unwind. We accidentally arrived a little earlier than check-in, but the staff were incredibly accommodating and happily looked after our bags so we could continue exploring the city. Everyone was warm, friendly, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The riad itself is stunning, with gorgeous views and a relaxing atmosphere. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Riad Dada Messouda to friends visiting Marrakech, and I'd happily stay here again.

A perfect riad with great hosts , who couldn’t do enough for its clients , a great location in the medina for a slower pace of life in Marrakesh, it was so relaxed on an evening after my excursions I just chilled with a book by the pool or on the beautiful terrace drinking mint tea ,

Absolutely beautiful place, great staff and gorgeous rooms plus the cutest cats ever!!

Location is a little bit far however I still felt safe even as a solo female traveller, I do not feel as though the area is "dodgy"

Overall assessment: Charming small riad in a fairly good location, but serious comfort and service issues that would definitely stop us from returning or recommending to anybody. *Location and setting:* The riad is in a good spot within the medina, with almost all major sights reachable on foot within about 15–20 minutes.It is a small but beautiful property spread over three floors; our top-floor room was quiet, a decent size, and clean, with a fireplace. *Airport transfer and access* The riad offers airport pick-up and drop-off, but when we arrived we took a regular airport taxi instead; after asking the host which gate was closest, the taxi dropped us there for less than half the price quoted by the riad.For our early morning departure (7:00), we did use the riad’s transfer, as getting a taxi at that hour is not easy from the medina. We unfortunately fell short of 4 Euros when we had to pay the tourist tax and going out to withdraw cash at night wasn't an option. They did not accept any form of online payment. They were, however, very accommodating and gave us a 4 Euro discount.

*Service and breakfast* : A major disappointment was that, despite confirming a packed breakfast for our 7:00 departure (breakfast normally starts at 8:00), nothing was prepared because the host forgot to inform the staff on duty; this felt completely unacceptable and left us leaving on an empty stomach.Breakfast on regular days was also underwhelming compared with other places we stayed in Morocco at a lower price: sweet French toast instead of eggs, one traditional bread, a small half-glass of cut fruit, marmalade (which was good), and orange juice that did not seem as freshly squeezed as elsewhere. *Room, bathroom, and heating*:The bathroom setup is not ideal: the toilet area is separated from the bedroom only by a half-height door, which does not provide much privacy.Water pressure was very low; it took around five minutes for warm water to arrive, and even then the flow was a thin trickle, making it hard to shower after a long day of walking, and the blocked drain caused even this small amount of water to overflow into the toilet area and soak the rugs.There was a heater in the room but no remote when we checked in, so the first night it could not be switched on and we had to rely on the fireplace, which died down whenever we left or stopped tending it.The next day the remote was found, and the heater was repaired. However, water pressure issue was not addressed. Not being able to have a proper shower (even after complaining) for the price we paid isnt acceptable. *Surroundings and overall impression* : We returned late in the evenings and, while nothing actually happened and the host assured us the area is safe, the immediate surroundings felt a bit deserted and not especially welcoming at night.
