Shepherds Hut - Brecon Beacons

everything - Loved the stay - it was our honeymoon as we had just got married.

Very spacious shepherds hut compared to most! Nice remote area in the countryside, on a clear night the stars would be amazing to state up at it was a little cloudy when I was here but still lovely to sit out at night beside the fire. Host was fantastic.

Nothing

We only stayed at the hut for one night on our motorcycle trip through Wales and were very pleased to find that the hut came with everything you'd need for a self-catering/camping stay, especially cleaning, washing up and cooking products (inc. salt/pepper, oil!), linen, towels and even a hairdryer. No Wifi but our mobile phones worked well and we were able to download and watch a film on iPlayer. The roaming chicken were unexpected entertainment and we were grateful the cockerel did not crow at unsociable hours, especially at dawn.

The hut is located in the corner of the front garden and feels a little boxed in by surrounding hedging/trees which prevent you from enjoying the amazing views of the surrounding Welsh valleys. We did not see much of the owners and not at all on checking out. They were having works done to their nearby cottage, which was a bit noisy and lacked privacy during our stay but the owners were very apologetic (via email/messages). No discount was offered though :-)

Really friendly owners without being over bearing

The weather! 🤣
