Xhibo Apartments Sarande

Lovely location just out side of the main busy Sarande area, free sunbeds and lovely beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Family run I think. Apartment was clean and spacious for us 3 and great view.

Was completely cash only.

The beach, people who works there are very kind

Really nice bathroom -modern and stylish

Firstly, the location was a real disappointment for us. It is quite a long way from the main part of Sarandë and the immediate surroundings are unfortunately very run-down, with several large unfinished or derelict buildings, graffiti, rubbish and active building sites. The property is reached along a narrow, unpaved road with a ditch at the side, and there is also a large graveyard nearby. The nearest restaurants we found were around a 20-minute walk away, along a route past the graveyard, building sites and areas of dumped rubbish. This was not at all the setting we had expected and unfortunately gave us a rather unappealing first impression of Sarandë. The accommodation itself was also more basic than we had anticipated. The room was small, with very little space to put belongings, no bedside lights and only a bright central ceiling light. The sheets were thin and too small to stay tucked in, the pillows were poor and we found the bed uncomfortable. The patio had not been swept and was shared rather than private. There was a partial side sea view, but much of the outlook was over surrounding building sites and the roof of the property’s bar, which had rubbish on it. Our section of the patio was also immediately outside the neighbouring room’s bathroom, so privacy — and occasionally the sounds from next door — were an issue. I feel a little reluctant to write such a negative review because the family running the property were genuinely very sweet and welcoming. However, overall the accommodation and particularly its location fell well below what we had expected from the listing, and we were very disappointed with our stay.
