The bed was comfy and clean
View: The view is wonderful, you can see the sunset and far into the see and nearby hills. It's really stunning.
Kitchen equipment: We had everything we needed. There is a sufficient amount of cutlery, mugs, cups, pans, kettle, sandwich maker.
A microwave would have been useful because you can only heat up your food in a pan. Also a sharp knife is a must if you're planning to cook.
Seems freshly renovated: The place seems to be renovated and it is pretty. It has clean painted walls and I just had a modern feeling.
Motorized shades: There are motorized shades for all windows, and mosquito nets as well. There is also a big motorized sunshade for the balcony so the afternoon sun doesn't directly shine into the flat.
Location: The place is 3 minutes away from the beach (free and paid in the same location, you can rent sunbeds for 15 EUR/day) and 3 minutes from the tram which takes you to the town. Acropolis is about 45 minutes away. There is a big store nearby and a really good bakery. There are also convenience stores and small kiosks on the road almost everywhere.
ROACHES: The common area and the flat has roaches (American roaches - very big and can fly). We had to fight them for the last 4 days of our stay and we saw a few on the staircase as well. They came from holes in the kitchen furniture and from behind the washing machine so covering the drains didn't help. The house and the owner should increase the frequency of the exterminations significantly.
AC doesn't work properly: While there is an AC, its power feels reduced. Maybe it needs maintenance or a refill of the gas, because it struggled to keep the temperature below 22-23. It helped a lot for sure, but I'm not sure it's functioning properly.
The whole place was little dirty (dusty), vacuuming and mopping doesn't really help, it needs a deep cleaning.
The dust from the nearby road is unavoidable, so prepare for black dust on the floor and your belongings. This is a downside of the location itself but I think for that view, it's a fair trade to make.
The windows look to a 6 lane road which is quite noisy even with the windows closed and even in the night. Maybe multi layer windows would help.
The owner only answers via booking messages, they don't pick up the phone number (nor will they call you back) given by booking for this accommodation, so if something is urgent, you have to wait for them to answer on booking. Although, every message I sent on booking was answered fast and adequate.
All in all, I think this is a really cool little flat in a great location and it has a lot of potential. I think solving these small problems could make it a 10/10 apartment.
