In a place where alpine cattle have been spending their summer pastures for several hundred years, the JUFA Nockberge Almerlebnisdorf is a truly extraordinary JUFA guesthouse.
A place in the Carinthian Nockberge Mountains for those seeking activity and those overwhelmed by stress, surrounded by the picturesque alpine landscape of the Hochrindl.
The landscape, which ranges from 800 to 2,440 meters above sea level, has also been awarded the Climate Protection Prize.
Three thematic areas run throughout the entire facility:
“s’Gfühl” stands for contentment, balance, and well-being—for example, in the special relaxation areas or in the herb garden.
“wos tuan” focuses on the joy of being active—and the variety seems almost endless: horseback riding, (snowshoe) hiking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, fitness trails, swimming, sightseeing, walking, biking, and much more.
“s Essn” highlights regional cuisine—simply enjoy and savor the flavors.
In winter, you can head straight out onto the slopes right from your front door. Six different lifts and a rustic mountain hut invite you to an unforgettable family skiing experience. In between, you can enjoy a lively toboggan ride, a family match on the curling rink, or perhaps a few hours in the JUFA wellness area? Nature lovers can explore the magnificent surroundings on snowshoe hikes.
In summer and fall, this incomparable natural paradise captivates with themed hiking trails such as the “In sich gehen” trail or —for the mountain enthusiasts among us—the Trans Nock, where there are 6 peaks to conquer. For children, the “King Forest Spirit” Fairy Tale Trail starts right from the house, telling exciting stories about the forest’s inhabitants through characters like the Noble Swiss Stone Pine and the Clever Fox. When it comes to culture, you can get a taste of the traditions and crafts associated with the farmers’ guild. Finally, it’s time to put your newly acquired knowledge to the test at the “Alm-Matura” on the Hiasl-Alm®!
