Stone House Aerie-Open for Bookings! Walk downtown, Hot Tub

Welcome to “Stone House Aerie”! New to our family March 2024!  

Our tiny home, sleeps 5, is within walking distance to historical downtown West Jefferson. The West Jefferson Municipal park is in your back yard.....large kids playground, tennis courts, basketball court, swings, a jumbo slide, rest rooms, picnic tables and plenty of green space. "Stone House Aerie" is a great location to walk to the Parkway Movie Theater, Ashe County Cheese and the bustling Farmers Market that offers a wide variety of fresh, locally grown produce, artisanal crafts, homemade goods, seasonal fruits and veggies, fragrant flowers, delectable baked goods and more. All of this within an easy walk from our home.

This modern, new construction studio/tiny home is located in downtown West Jefferson, with easy access to all of the High Country. Easy and short walk to the park, library, restaurants or the many shopping establishments in town such as Ashe Cheese Factory, local breweries and cafes. Come stay with us in July and walk to the Christmas in July festival. ASU in Boone is about a 30 minute drive away. The ski slopes are approximately 40-50 minutes from West Jefferson. 

Inside, you'll find a cozy living space with a queen bed and three twin bunk style beds. The bathroom has a beautiful pebble floor shower with frameless glass door. The full-sized laundry is next to the shower. In the living area, there is comfortable seating and a Roku TV, ready for guests to log in with their favorite apps. Free highspeed WIFI. There is a mini-split with heat and AC. 

The kitchen has most everything you'll need, with a K-Cup maker to start the day right, gorgeous quartzite counters and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. The dining table can set up to 5 guests. All bed and bathroom linens are provided along with extra towels to use with the hot tub. 

Outside, the tiny home is on a shared fenced lot with a nearby home (not a full time home) in front. Relax in the private hot tub or use the propane grill and large smoker/charcoal grill to prepare favorite meals to share.  The custom Stonehenge-style fire pit (wood not provided) is the perfect place to gather on a cool, mountain evening!  This outdoor space is made even better with string lights and seating throughout.

- This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home. 
- While the graveled driveway and parking offer easy access, AWD/4WD is needed for all mountain homes in times of snow or ice. Please plan accordingly.  
- Guests returning to Stone House Aerie may receive a discount of 5%, not to be combined with other discounts to the room rent. 
- Bookings canceled within 30 days will not receive a refund.

****Important Notes:
     --Tire chains and 4WD/AWD may be necessary during the winter months.
     --There is no land-line phone in our rental. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
     --No Smoking inside the cabin.
     --Minimum age requirement is 25 years old
     --Check in time: 4:00 PM; Check out time: 10:00 AM 
     --Repeat guests returning to this home can receive a 10% discount (not to be stacked with other discounts).
     --All HMCR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: two rolls of toilet paper per bath, a few garbage bags, dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, a roll of paper towels, liquid hand soap at each sink, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. 
     - Towels and linens will be provided for you.

***3 night minimum for MLK weekend, Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend and the entire month of October
***4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday
***6 night minimum for the July 4th week and Christmas/New Year holidays

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
