Thurlestone is a very pretty coastal village by the sea in the stunningly rugged and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Thurlestone was originally a tiny coastal hamlet, but now home to a gloriously sited hotel with Spa facilities, a popular golf course, a tennis club, a great pub called The Village Inn and a Post Office and shop. The grade II listed village church has a Norman Font in its ancient chapel and is steeped with history to explore. The village takes its name from the impressive coastal rock formation Thurlestone Rock – an arch shaped rock just off the main Thurlestone Beach. The village streets are lined with thatched cottages dating back to the 17th century. Thurlestone sits between two other coastal villages, in one direction is Bantham, famous for surfing, long Sandy beaches, popular 14th century Sloop Inn. Back along the Southwest coast path you arrive in South Milton, beautiful beach, busy Beachouse serving delicious seafood. Thurlestone Golf Club is minutes away so if you are a golf lover, you can literally fall out of bed and be ready to tee off in minutes. Located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this stunning course runs along the coastline to Bigbury Bay. Thurlestone, South Hams, South Devon is the obvious choice for a perfect holiday. You can access the whole house during your stay
This exclusive property boasts a prime location where the beach is within walking distance; where you can swim, kite surf, walk your dogs, sunbathe or simply unwind in the peaceful surroundings. The architecture of Sea Reach seamlessly blends modern luxury with coastal charm, featuring spacious open plan living areas, floor-to-ceiling windows and an expansive outdoor terrace overlooking the sea.
As you make your way down the winding road, surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sound of nature, the wooden entrance gate welcomes you as a portal to this paradise property. Finding a parking spot is a breeze, thanks to the ample space available for a possible 6 cars. A charming path of paving separates the front grassy area towards the few steps down to the front door. Alternatively, follow the flat driveway to the step at the front door.
Step through the inviting front door into a remarkably spacious entrance hall, where to the left, a carefully designed alcove awaits, ready to host your coats, umbrellas, and essentials. Ascend the stairs to the upper level, revealing three of the four bedrooms. At the summit, the shared bathroom beckons with its extra-large walk-in shower, toilet, and basin.
To the right of the bathroom, discover the lavishly spacious master suite—a sanctuary featuring a luxuriously comfortable king-size bed, a television, chest of drawers, and his and her built-in wardrobe storage. The en-suite bathroom is a retreat in itself, complete with a bath, overhead shower, toilet, basin, towel rail, and an epic countryside view. The pièce de résistance is the magnificent sliding glass doors opening onto a generous enclosed balcony, offering panoramic views across fields, South Milton Sands, and the distant allure of Bantham and Bigbury.
Across the hallway, a second king-size bedroom awaits, adorned with two large windows that draw abundant light into the room. A chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe complete the room's allure. Adjacent is the third bedroom, a twin single room with a shared bedside table, reading chair, chest of drawers, and built-in wardrobe space.
Descending to the ground floor, the entrance hall veers right, leading to a conveniently sized toilet room. Directly opposite, the twin single ground floor bedroom awaits, overlooking the front garden and furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, and reading chair.
Returning to the entrance hall, you are greeted by the grand open-plan kitchen diner—a gorgeously spacious, wooden-floored haven for quality family time. A substantial 8-seat farm house table stands at the center of the dining room, providing views of the rear garden through large patio doors for an inviting indoor-outdoor living experience.
The fully fitted kitchen is a culinary masterpiece, boasting wooden counters, ample cupboard space, and state-of-the-art appliances. Revel in the convenience of a large American-style digital fridge freezer, equipped with a water and ice dispenser. Additional amenities include a Samsung microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, hot plate counter, dishwasher, and a 2-door oven with a gas hob, ensuring every culinary desire is met.
A hallway from the kitchen leads to a back door, providing access to the rear garden and an additional shower room—perfect for returning from the beach without tracking sand through the house.
Outside, the extensive patio spanning the rear of the house boasts a Tiki hut with loungers and a BBQ to weather the elements. A large garden table accommodates up to 8 guests, and a few steps lead down to the enclosed lawned garden. In the far left corner, a charming patio with a wooden table and chairs invites you to savour evening sunset moments.
Back indoors, through double doors into the dining room, to the left, another open-plan area unfolds. The sun lounge, bathed in natural light, transitions seamlessly to the configured lounge—a refined space featuring two large sofas, two armchairs, surround sound speakers, TV, DVD player, Skybox and attractive open fire place (no longer in use). The property includes complimentary WiFi for your convenience.

A car is highly recommended as public transport is relatively infrequent in the area, however there is a bus stop opposite the village Post Office and shop which does stop at the surrounding villages and towns if you wish to try to explore using this method of transport.
You will need a car to get here. beaches, pub and local stores and post office within walking distance but you will need a car to get to supermarkets etc which are located in the nearby towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe
