Meadow Street En-Suite Rooms

My husband and I unexpectedly changed our travel route, so we made this booking on the fly, just a few hours before arrival. The price was excellent, and everything looked exactly like the photos. The room was clean and equipped with a TV, a kettle, and a selection of coffee and tea. There was a heater in the closet, though the room itself was already warm. The shower area was fully stocked with toiletries, and towels were provided. It was a lovely touch to find a comprehensive guide in the room, covering house rules and travel tips—we even learned that driving our car into Birmingham would incur a charge, and the guide also explained how to use public transport. Parking on the street was easy. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to explore the local area, as we only stayed for the night. The shared living room and kitchen are very cozy, and the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances; there’s even a laundry area. Following the provided instructions, we accessed the property and retrieved the key to our room using a code. This was incredibly convenient, as we arrived late and weren't tied to a strict check-in time. A special thanks for the blackout curtains—we slept very well! The mattress was very comfortable, as was the bedding. There was a slight smell of dampness, but that’s beyond the control of the hospitable hosts. I would definitely recommend staying here.

There was a slight smell of dampness. But it wasn’t a major issue.

7/10-Price competitive 7/10-Warm water functioning Parking free but very challenging

6/10-Toilet small 6/10-Stairs very stiff. Carrying big luggage very challenging

The room was clean and tidy. Bed was a good size and comfortable. Great to have a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool. Good location (for me). No issues with parking on the road right outside. The kitchen and laundry were great. Nice little communal area as well. All clean, tidy and in good order.

Room was a the top of the house up a narrow staircase. The bathroom was very small (smallest sink I have seen in my life). I couldn't stand up straight in the shower and hot water was hit and miss.
