It's a cheap hotel, so don't expect a spa and plunge pool 😂. But it's spotlessly clean, care is paid to ensuring the rooms have exactly what you need. As a lone female I feel perfectly safe. Staff are pleasant. It's close to my work and all this at a budget price.

Excellent breakfast, location perfect for what i needed. Accomodation could do with a facelift
shared bathrooms. Some people don’t know how to flush a loo properly

The guest house is on a busy main road, and can only be accessed by north direct of the dual carriage way. The place relatively easy to find in the dark. The shower had loads of hot water and the room was warm. The breakfast was fine and an added bonus for the price. The host was amicable but not over welcoming. Easy access from M4 and M5.
Although the place was easy to find the lighting around the house wasn't great on a winter's evening. As others have noted the place is very dated, think 1970s, and the furniture in the rooms shabby. The stairs in the hallway had a deep layer of brown dust. Breakfast finished very early 8.15am

Nice room small shower but nice if your a working man and working in the area this is the place to say
Not much to not like unless your expecting five star hotel lol

Close to where we needed to be.
Easy to access.
Plenty of parking.
Comfortable large easy chair.
Slightly dated decor.
Mirror in bathroom with aging marks.
Some damp on ceiling.
Radiator in bathroom needs painting or a good clean.
No shower gel.
Although ground floor and en-suite, some tricky small steps to negotiate for an elderly lady.

Ideal location close to M5 pleasant a
enough room spacious. Friendly couple generous full cooked breakfast which came in handy as we got stuck in traffic jams for 7 hours after M5 was closed so kept us going.
No shops close by there is a garage that was open but didn't sell much especially food and drink

The hosts were very nice, breakfast was enjoyable, and the room was comfortable. It was an 8-minute walk to the venue of my conference.
The iron had a burned stain that kept sticking to my dress, so I couldn't use it.

security cameras, and keycode door, price and how helpful the staff was when contacting about getting into the property.
modern tv with apps like YouTube and Netflix, but needed to be connected to the wifi, so i did yourselves a favour and connected it to the network.
Large bed, quite comfortable.
free wifi with a decent range, didnt stay long enough to use it on anything but the tv.
how insecure and flimsy the doors to the bedrooms felt, as opposed to being sturdy.
sponges in the kintchen were old and stank of mould as if they'd been used to clean the toilet.
lastly there was a mop bucket or something that had brown water just sitting there for whatever reason.

We liked the price, the breakfast and the owner.
The bed was pretty soft and the room was a lot dated.

Booked last minute as it was close to medical centre,Host was a lovely gentleman that let us check in early and took our money ,that's as nice as it gets as we didn't stay long !
Shocking! Very Dated old 70s decor, furniture, beds, bedding , shared toilet, mouldy shower, cracked front window etc.. can't comment on comfort of basic beds or breakfast we did not stay . £80 down 👎

Nice host, very accommodating and breakfast was great, English fry up and cereal provided.
The room was very spacious and the bathroom was amazing.
A little outdated which is a shame, if it was refurbished it would make a stunning town house B&B.
Don't expect a 5 star hotel or even really a 3.
Definitely worth a stay if you're passing through and don't mind ruff edges.

A very friendly gentleman is managing the facility. It’s ok for an overnight.
Very outdated, a bit of humility smell. But you get what you pay for and it’s cost effective. Loads of stairs if you get a room at the top floor.

Friendly staff. Room was tidy great facilities. Cat friendly which was just amazing. An amazing property with amazing staff. Thankyou from Sophie, JJ, Maisie and Marshmellow all the way in Hertfordshire x
There is nothing not really to like about the property. Rooms are small and basic but that’s the usual for a b&b cheap and accommodating

I chose The Jays for it's location and value for money.
The cooked breakfast was great, they know how to poach an egg properly and
didn't flinch when requested. Quality eggs used.
The hosts were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
A great improvement on the last accommodation I stayed at in the area.
No written instructions on how to work the shower, it was a different type of mechanism.
I would also have appreciated a little information folder.
The mattress could have been softer for me.

Location great
Hasn’t seen any maintenance for about thirty years. Extremely tired decoration and no money spent in decades. Didn’t expect the Ritz. If you’re desperate then stay here, personally I would rather sleep in the car

Quiet, large window for airflow, great budget option if you’re not fussy, love that it’s dog friendly . Host was friendly and helpful. Easy parking . Short easy drive away from central Bristol
Interior could do with an update, it wouldn’t cost much to give it a huge boost that would make all the difference

Location was on a busy road but handy for travelling. Breakfast was good. Hosts were friendly
The rooms needed upgrading, all very old. Each UHT milk opened came out in lumps. When we went to find someone to ask for some fresh milk we couldn't find anyone
