I enjoyed my stay at Settle In my room was very comfortable, clean & warm. So close to walk to the High Street shops & restaurants. It was easy to get myself in with the codes. I will definitely stay there again.

Very close to cathedral which was great as we were attending a party near there. Instructions on gaining access to property were very clear and the room and en-suite were very clean. Lovely communal kitchen/living room should we have needed it too.

fantastic location

Fantastic location, nice sized room and bathroom. Nice quiet building and easily accessible from the train station and restaurants. Overall would stay again and recommend to others.

Not as good as we had hoped

The staff where very responsive when we requested information or assistance. The shower water was warm.

The room was very tired and the bed was smaller than expected. The bed was very uncomfortable, covered with a summer duvet and no extra bedding was available in the room. The first few nights were very cold, then we were directed to the thermostat and were able to turn up the heating. In the bathroom the sink was cracked and leaking water into the drawer below, the shower door was falling off and the shower cubicle was very small, showering wasn't very easy. Also the bathroom was drafty, making the space cold. There was a small cupboard to hang clothes, but no where to unpack small items of clothing. We lived out of our suitcases for 4 nights, quite hard as the room was so small. No toaster in the kitchen.

Good position and bed was very comfortable

It’s was cold in the room when we arrived and heating went out during the night. Water pressure in shower was a spray. Your legs would get cold while trying to wash the upper body.

Great room in centre of Winchester

Lovely room with shower. Bed was so comfortable slept well! We didn't use kitchen but looked as though they had everything you'd need. Excellent location, within 5 min walk to town centre. Had to park in Tower Street overnight car park but wasn't really a problem. Room at the top of house had view of the cathedral, which was nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Very impressed

As the weather was horrendous collecting the key to get through the front door was a bit drawn out because the pad was getting wet from the wind. Once in I had to find a key to our room because it was changed from a pad to a male key. Once I found the key to our room it was easy to access.

Room was clean and relatively functional. Coffee provision was good. Good comms from manager and ease of entrance.

The room was very noisy (by a busy road). There was no bedside lighting, only a main light. It smelt of plugged in air fresheners. Lack of breakfast meant comparative value for money not there.

Very clean and quiet property. The kitchen facilities are exceptional. Great coffee machine and selections of coffee and tea. The washroom was very clean and modern. Room was great too. Location was great. Very easy to find.

Was a scary experience - couldn’t get in or out the room and got stuck due to broken door lock it was horrendous.

I found the property itself tasteful, clean and comfortable,, but with issues.

The property itself has been tastefully converted into excellent apartments and communal kitchen with appliances Clean, warm and safe. Spacious bedroom, plenty of hot water and quality toiletries and towels. Good lighting in corridors and room. Close to city centre if guests are fit and mobile on foot (very busy area.)

The property is situated right on a very busy road, narrow pavement, yellow double lines in existence, with no parking facilities, and even "drop off"/ "pick up" facilities are difficult. No concierge or lift. 32 steps up to Room 4. No porterage. No light over entrance door. During 6 nights stay I saw no-one except on arrival I had to ask a young man for help with luggage and mid week encountered a pleasant young cleaner who I had to ask to service my room. TV and Wi-Fi had no connection or proper instructions in spite of codes given. Lack of physical human contact. Some of these issues were mentioned on the web-site, but not enough clarification. Self-check in means you are on "your own" which is difficult if travelling solo, especially if female in a "ghost" building.

Lovely property and great communication

Clear check in instructions. The room was clean and had lovely decor.

The bed wasn't the comfiest in my opinion. That's the only note I have.

I rate it so highly compared to a previous stay at the Winchester Travel Lodge.

It's a wonderfully short walk from the station, city and local beauty spots. The bed was really comfortable, clean and the room was so welcoming with a kettle and all the touches and home comforts you'd expect from a good hotel (soap/hair dryer/iron) The kitchen is an added bonus equipped with a microwave, coffee machine, fridge, plates and cutlery etc. It's a great set up. Excellent customer service and communication from the hosts.

The road is very busy and noisy and there's currently a disused industrial building opposite that attracts the wrong crowd after pub closing hours so it's not quiet - at least not if you're facing the road.

Great location close to town, check in was smooth and simple, property was well maintained.

No parking close by but was advised that there is a multi storey car park in the centre of town which was a 10 min walk away which was a pain with a laptop bag and a suitcase.

I stayed in Room 4 which had a fabulous view towards the Cathedral and Winchester College. The room was comfortable and clean with a lovely bathroom. Having access to a kitchen was excellent - so helpful for making my own breakfasts. The selection of free tea and coffee was also good.

Exactly how it looks, very nice and good location. My GPS sent me further down the street so it was super useful that the messages had an explanation of which streets it was inbetween. Bed was comfortable, and the extra fan available to grab from the kitchen was a life saver during the heatwave.

No towels!! What is this? Is it a trip back to 1955 when rooms weren't provided with towels? It was impossible to get in touch with the people running Settle. I sent emails and online requests with no response and the phone number listed is incorrect (a deliberate ploy it seems). I bought a quick drying towel from a camping shop as a solution but come on, this is rubbish.

No parking The room was extremely hot but a fan was provided and turned on when we got there We were on the top floor, which was a little tiring getting up lots of stairs in the heat 6 months pregnant but over all, a very good stay

Fine for a work trip

Very clean accommodation. Shower easy to use. Bed comfortable. Close to city centre. The property has a shared kitchen, which I didn't use.

Next to noisy road. I was in Room 1 at the the back of the property fortunately so I wasn't disturbed.

Self contained, en suite, desk space, lots of plug points, lots of lights. Communal kitchen facilities for things like fridge and sink and sofa access. Spacious bathroom with conditioner (woohoo!). Teas and coffee facility within the room is always so lovely. Clean and simple. Really clear timely instructions on how to get into the property. Generous check in/ check out times with loads of flexibility (I got in at nearly 10pm)!

Be wary that there is another property with an identical address about 20 mins walk away (which I accidentally went to the first time!) this property is a short 10 mins walk from the station and centre of town. No USB/C charge points so make sure you bring plug heads.
