Casa Callebanda-superb Spot In Historical Centre

Great kitchen, I have celiac so being able to self cater is important and this was well stocked. Wines left by host, very responsive and offered good suggestions for where to go in Tavira.

Not exactly light filled, but that did not detract from our stay.

Cosy, well appointed apartment. The fireplace was lovely to have as it was quite damp and cool at night. The location was perfect. A short walk to everything we needed. The bedroom, being at the back, was very quiet. The natural lighting skylights were a welcomed touch in the morning. There was hand and dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher pucks, waters, wines, oil, vinegar and salt and pepper, and tea and coffee to get us started. Also, there were a couple of games and many good books to read. Our host was wonderful. Suggesting places to eat, doing a short grocery run, (when we got sick) and delivering wood whenever we needed it. Always with a smile. Would recommend this spot to anyone. Really can’t say enough nice things about it and its host!

The property was in the perfect location! Just a few steps from bars, restaurants & shops. Ian was phenomenal! He left us a bottle of red & white wine. The best red wine I’ve ever tasted. The bed was super comfortable. I brought my pillow, but I didn’t need it. The shower was awesome, too. The water pressure and the HOT water is something I wish I had at home. We are returning to Tavira in 6 months. We hope Ian’s home is available.

Perfect location, just one street away from the may promenade and river with loads of good restaurants within minutes. Very sweet little townhouse for a romantic stay, with fantastic cooking facilities perfect for some home cooking! We really appreciated the extra little touches of thought and care, with coffee capsules, sugar, salt, vinegar etc and even fresh wine waiting for us upon arrival! Thankyou so much to Ian! The only thing to note is the neighbours seemed to be active early in the morning so we appreciated earplugs, however in the evenings it was always perfectly peaceful and quiet. key pick up was easy and quick from the lockbox so no waiting around, and plenty of parking nearby from only 0.45p an hour, and free from 7pm to morning. (If you are a nervous driver and want to avoid narrow roads, we found parking on, Dr. Marcelino Franco street easiest, 1 min away. )
