Apartment Perola-superb Base In Historical Centre

The location of this apartment was fantastic. A quiet, pretty tree lined street, just a few minutes walk from a few restaurants, cafes, mini mart, and even a wine tasting bar. Also very close to the river and access to the ferry to visit Tavira Island for the beach, near the market and easy to the explore the historic old town on foot. This is the perfect location in Tavira. The apartment was really spacious and comfortable with loads of space to hang and store clothes and suitcases. The one double and one twin room is ideal for a family, and the indoor living space is really generous and appropriately furnished with enough seating, tables etc. We also enjoyed having the small terrace to have coffee or a glass of wine outside. The apartment is very well equipped for cooking at home, and even provided a coolbox and ice pack that could be taken to the beach, along with the handy parasol! We appreciated the games and books we could use during our stay too..

The presentation of the apartment is a bit tired, especially the bathroom where tile are cracked and frankly the shower and toilet needed to be deep cleaned. The outside furniture and sun loungers (which have to be carried to and from the pool) could also do with being refreshed.

Exceptionally clean. Lovely balcony with evening sun. Very well equipped (however an airer would have been helpful to dry clothes). Communication was excellent and any queries were promptly answered.

The pool needed cleaning- unable to use it as covered in leaves and debris which was disappointing.

The proximity to the main town and surrounding restaurants was excellent. Spacious rooms. Lovely veranda

Only disappointing thing was the hard uncomfortable two single bed mattresses. Unlike the king size double which was very comfortable. Unfortunately Tavira it seems is undergoing major works within the historical centre but I’m sure when finished it will be spectacular.
