Aloe Cottage

Bezauberndes Cottage mit allem, was man braucht und eine sich kümmernde Gastgeberin. Absprachen waren einfach und unkompliziert. Wer Ruhe sucht, wird sie hier finden.

Meine Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt.

The cottage is quaint, very clean, and well-presented. It’s wonderfully secure for bringing the pups along, which we really appreciated. The indoor and outdoor braai areas are great, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. We also loved the convenience of being able to order firewood ahead of time. (Note: It is a working farm, so there is some active noise. It didn't bother us, but it's worth noting if you want complete silence).

Unfortunately, the cottage falls short on comfort. I am 8 months pregnant and tried not to complain, but when my husband woke up on day two saying we needed to go home just to get a comfortable rest, I knew it wasn't just me. The sofas are very worn through, and we actually preferred sitting on the wooden kitchen chairs. Also, while the kitchen is well-equipped, some items like the microwave and grater are rusted and unusable. It would also be highly appreciated if small details like hand wash were provided at the sinks. Lastly, we were really looking forward to the fresh eggs and bread mentioned in other reviews, but sadly we didn't get to enjoy that perk. With a few small upgrades, this place would be perfect.
