Die Lage ist unvergleichlich schön - direkt über dem kleinen alten Hafen und mit Blick auf Elba. Die Wohnung in einem historischen Gebäude ist sehr gelungen eingefügt. Aus dem Bett kann man das Treiben im kleinen Hafen beobachten. Restaurants und die schöne Altstadt von Piombino liegen gleich vor der Tür. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
Eine Klimaanlage wäre perfekt.

The location of this apartment is its chief asset---and it is wonderful!. Tall windows open directly out to a view of the sea, small islands, Elba, and Corsica. The town's historic area, its shops and cafes, and its popular promenade are a few minutes' walk away. The apartment was large for two people. It has tall ceilings, lots of storage, and a small deck. Also we liked that the town was less touristy than others on our itinerary. Finally, because we had trouble accessing the apartment, we were relieved that Andrea was willing to meet us at the location and guide us through the labyrinthian parking structures and up to the apartment.
Checking into this apartment was an adventure. The key was jammed in the lockbox, making it difficult to access (Andrea was eventually able to get the box open). The building complex in which the apartment is located is composed of multiple wings divided by a series of passageways, locked gates, and separate elevators. Although the hosts have supplied videos and photographs of entry procedures, we had to do a few reconnaissance missions to become familiar with it. The kitchen is set up for only the most basic food preparation. Water pressure is minimal and when we asked about paper towels and plug adaptors that would allow us to use the toaster and microwave, we were told that they weren't provided.

Super Aussicht auf Elba Meer, Leuchtturm und Hafen. Kurzer Fußweg in die Altstadt mit Restaurants. Pizzeria schräg gegenüber. Super Tiefgarage.

Unterkunft war sehr modern ausgestattet und sauber, auch wenn eines der Bäder nicht wirklich brauchbar war (dusche war schön, hat aber nicht funktioniert). Die Auskunft und den passenden Garagen Platz ausfindig zu machen war eine 2 stündige Schnitzeljagd. Die Informationen des Besitzers waren nicht wirklich hilfreich. Die Lage war sehr gut.
