You can see damp on some walls, for example near the bathroom - Constant CCTV Monitoring: Cameras are everywhere and checked at least hourly, adding to the many ways they create an intrusive atmosphere - Bad Location: 40 minutes away from central Bonn or anything really, with buses every 30 minutes. A strict 10pm curfew if you don't want to deal with aggressive flatmates. Other places to stay are much closer (e.g. Poppelsdorf), which is a 10 minute walk from the centre - Hidden fees everywhere This is not the place to stay if you are planning to explore the city. This is not the place to stay if you are a person of colour. This is not the place to stay if you value your peace. Regular remarks from the property owners on how 'He can't tell the difference between Indians and Pakistanis' and 'Some cultures like to live in their own stink' when asked about the damp. I requested to leave two weeks early due to feeling unsafe around both the long-term residents and the owners, having received an agressive message to 'take things outside' the night before. At 6 pm on Sunday, the day after, the owner messaged me, offering a refund for the two weeks if I left that very day within six hours. He described this as a "very gracious offer." I see it as an abuse of power, knowing that most people would not be able to leave so abruptly.
