Ye Olde Mottram Chip Shop

We stayed at this property for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we booked, Rachel was incredibly accommodating and kind. She kindly allowed us to check in early so we could decorate for our best friend's 40th birthday before her arrival, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really helped make the celebration special. When we arrived, the property was spotless, beautifully presented, and exactly as shown in the photos. Rachel had gone above and beyond with some lovely welcome touches, including a cake, a bottle of wine, eggs, bacon, and a selection of other goodies. These thoughtful extras made us feel genuinely welcomed. Rachel had also ensured the hot tub was ready for us before we arrived, which was greatly appreciated. The day before we were due to leave, she got in touch to let us know we could check out a little later if we wished. This was another very kind gesture that she certainly didn't have to offer. Throughout our stay, Rachel's communication was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and always available if we needed anything. The property was perfect for our mini celebration, and Rachel was the perfect host who truly couldn't do enough for her guests. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming getaway.

The property had everything you could think of, the host went above and beyond even supplying food and wine

No large mirror or mirror downstairs

Beautiful cottage and all the added extra treats including food for breakfast in fridge, treats for the children and our dog and wine chilling waiting for us to arrive. The hot tub was delightful 😊 Many lovely places for walks and pub lunches

Loved it all just that our dog couldn't navigate the spiral staircase so we took it in turns to sleep downstairs which was fine though.
