CADORNA Rooms in Florence

Everything was fantastic. Claudia and Alessandro are the best hosts. I usually travel a lot for work, and I wish more people are like them. They are very welcoming, génerous, kind and very helpful. The room was big, new and very clean. The location of the house is in a very calm area and just 10 min walk from the station and the center. I will definitely come back and stay at their house next time.

I would have rated this place around 8–9/10 if I had stayed alone or as originally planned. However, my plans changed, and I contacted the host in advance to confirm a larger room with 2 separate beds. I was told this would be possible, so I paid extra money for the bigger room. Upon arrival, the "bigger room" turned out to be a standard compact queen room with only 1 bed, and the staff was not aware of my request. We had to improvise a second sleeping space using a chair, which was not ideal, but at least something. The next day, we were told that moving furniture or using the chair this way was not allowed. There was also some confusion in communication with the hosts, which made the situation uncomfortable. Additionally, several rules (such as "eating food in your room is forbidden" and "washing or hanging damp clothes is forbidden") were only listed inside the room and not communicated during booking. Overall, I feel that I paid for a setup that wasn't provided, and the experience didn't meet expectations. Because of this, I would not choose to stay here again.
